    2 Inputs on a LG L226WTQ Monitor

Hi all I have thought of the idea to bring 2 PC's ,or 1 PC and a console to my monitor. I've got a LG L226WTQ. Basically i think it would be convenient to switch both inputs, cause one PC of mine is almost always ocupied by applications. The LG has a VGA and a DVI input ,so connecting...

Connecting computer to LCD HDTV -- a few questions

1080p is, correct me 1920x1080. Your playing software should maximize your video to that resolution if possible. But i dont know if that resolution is supported anywhere. Try to put your desktop to 1920x1080 and maximize the media player then. Its the preferred resolution for that TV anyway...

UPDATE: I pull the trigger on the LG 226WT

oops thats not what i get. The effect i get is comparable as you stare into the sun, a spot of negative color (blackish) appears for a while at whatever else you look at. Probably your monitors LCD cells overreact big time. How do i see those menu settings your all posting?

    Do most games support widescreen?

Ah i found enlightment ^^ I bought one LG 226WTQ-SF and those options appear. Even the desktop resolution is 1680x1050. Maximum that is thou i learned. And my other concern was that stretching. I can eliminate it by using the DVI cable, and in Nvidia control panel i can choose it to scale the...

UPDATE: I pull the trigger on the LG 226WT

Seems b1gduk has the same monitor as mine. Its difficult to notice an effect your pointing at. As for the cursor trail on the blue background. There seems to be a visible white effect left of the cursor if very slowly moved to the right and looking very close. And it stops as soon as the cursor...

Well i have a Rev2 board ,and the fan was screamy loud from the beginning. A month or so running, its noises changed in tone from stutter - scream - hiss whatever. Its running like that almost half a year now doing those hickups sometimes ,but is still running. Its keeping a constant 5100ish RPM...

    A8N-E won't shutdown or sleep

Plus for me i have updated to chipset drivers 6.70 (prev 6.65) from Nvidias Website (since Asus dont have them or support them i do not know) and the problem is solved. I also have BIOS 1010.003 still. Still may seem to be a bios-->driver conflict so keep on trying with diff ones.

This happens to me as well, and i believe its a BIOS problem. So far by reading, v1008 seems to cause it on some peeps.. one person has solved it with downgrading to 1005. I would like to know which BIOS you are using. I was going to upgrade to beta bios 1010-003 in a bit, but chose to browse...
