I think there's plenty of blame to go around. As opposed to just laying the blame on one group or aspect of all this. Also you left Microsoft out of the list, who has a role in all of this too. Both Windows and Xbox is their platform after all.
I'd think a 25.5" display would be too big for a TN type panel. I have a 22" TN and the viewing angles drive me nuts. You could get a 22" Dell 2209WA E-IPS panel for less than the T260. But its also 3.5" smaller.
Its pretty much screen size vs picture quality.
Try downloading and installing Media Player Classic - Home Cinema and make sure to use its own internal h264 filter.

Its one of the only players that works properly with hardware acceleration on my 4830.
To me it sounds like your 3450 isn't accelerating HD content properly. Only certain players/codecs allow hardware acceleration of HD video. What's your CPU usage like when playing HD stuff?
I leave my ACC set to auto. I'm not too sure what -12 through +12 do as AMD have never given an explanation. The best explanation I've read is that its some kind of clock skew tolerance mechanism + a clock gen that is on the SB750 that directly links to the 6-pins on the CPU to negotiate with...
I'm glad the OP brought this up as this is something thats been irking me for a while and I never see anyone discussing it.
The cold hard fact is CPU's have become less and less relevant (for gaming) with every generation. Especially since the mhz/ghz race is more or less over. Multiple...
I picked up the 2800+ while it was still $15. Its replacing a 1700+ Tbred-B I have running at 2600+ in my secondary PC. Hopefully I'll be able to o/c it to 3200+ or more.
Now where are the uber deals for s939 dual core CPU's so I can get rid of this single core s939!
Hmm... It sounds good but I'm not too sure about the whole cutting off trade with China part. This is likely to have some serious repercussions and unintended consequences.
I got to 97% and got "The patch client was unable to retrieve the file [?Jse/art2.myp/b31862344f47e1b7] from the patch server. Please try the patch operation again in a short while."
I've been reading around and it seems like everyone who gets near finishing the patch is getting this or some...
from newegg.com, seems like they're getting it right

No, quite literally 8 Seconds Per Frame, I have to wait practically 8 or 10 seconds until the next frame is rendered. I wouldn't bother running those demos unless you have a DX9 card (Radeon 9x00/nv30+).
