It's not really "older", but there is a "newer" one.
There are two models: the GFLS and HFLS. The GFLS was introduced first, and the HFLS a couple months later for enterprise/enthusiasts.
The disks in both models are exactly the same, only the sled enclosure is different. The GFLS does not...
Hrm, I'm learning towards a Lenovo X60 tablet so it's always good to have spare pens... very easy survey, I don't own the device yet but put down everything I'd use one for if I had one.
Just a heads up, you're probably not going to be able to use these on Lenovo/IBM machines (e.g. ThinkPads). See <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Problem_with_unauthorized_MiniPCI_network_ca

If you've no need for photos, the Canon PIXMA MP530 is a good alternative. It's a "business"-class all-in-one, and has an single-sided automatic document feeder for scanning and copying.
I'd personally go for this if it wasn't for the nasty reviews of this drive being noisy and hot.
In my new apartment, my HDDs are spinning about 4 feet from my head when I'm sleeping...
If all you have is DVDs, you could just download one of the Ubuntu DVDs...
They are a little bit hard to find, but Ubuntu DVD images are available. You can find DVD images for other versions of Ubuntu on the cdimage.ubuntu.com website.
Since my Thinkpad has had issues twice this year (the second of which remains unfixed, as it my fault supposedly and I'm liable for charges), I'm glad that I went for the 3 yr warranty when I bought my ThinkPad 2 yrs ago.
I've not actually tried playing video (other than the demo) on Sansa, but from what I remember about researching video playback, it's not particularly amazing.
At the moment, the Sansa only supports playing videos in some awful Quicktime format, that can only be created with Sandisk's...
I've the 6 GB version I bought for $174 (a bit too much?). This is my first MP3 player and I have to say I like the Sansa a lot. It's a little heavier than the iPod Nano but if you want to forsake iTunes is the best alternative IMHO available.
So, how do existing customers switch? The OP's link seems to be a sign-up for "new" customers.
My father still uses AOL for e-mail, and is paying $15/month for their Broadband access option. It'd be nice to get him switched off and save that $15/month.
Hrm, and this brings up another question...
Where to buy phones and not get ripped off by Verizon? $250 MSRP, gees! I'm so far courting eBay now, but there has to be something better than this...
Made the other post before I read yours... So it can be a modem, neat! Happen to know if it works with Linux?
What is the battery life like?
Another thing I forgot to mention, a really powerful/telescoping antenna. My Samsung A310 has one. I recently went on a trip with my parents, and we...
I like the Motorola E815, but I don't think it can function as PC modem.
The reason I want the PC modem over some kind of wireless broadband service is that I tend to have a lot of minutes left over, and would be fine with using those for connecting via dialup when I'm in the middle of...
I'm a complete cell phone luddite. My trusty Samsung A310 (from 2002?) front display has cracked, so I guess it's time for me to get a new phone.
I like my phone, and if I could find one new I'd get another one. Since it's so old, I don't think I'd have much success... And I have no idea how...
Dotster is known to be a known spammer.
As ICANN requires you to have valid contact information on file (though I guess you could lie and risk having your domain revoked--my registrar is GoDaddy and they have contacted me before about it), my privacy is worth more than $1.
This would make a great TV... but it has no TV inputs whatsoever, unlike the 2405FPW which has everything but the kitchen sink. I think Dell dropped the ball on this monitor.
May want to mention that it's $59.99 after rebate.
Not to thread crap, after paying taxes on the original $100 price/gas (nearest CC is 50 mi away for me) it may be cheaper to order online.
How often does Best Buy put out open-box TVs? Is it something done all the time or do they do it at a specific time of the week?
I know I'd like to pick up a sub-$1k 1080p TV...
This TV is supposedly pretty good, and this is a really low price.
So, what's wrong with it? Other than the brand being a bit unknown...
Some specs I found: it has a DVI input (but no HDMI), so it can serve as a computer monitor at 1280x720; 12 ms access time, 700 cd/m^2 brightness.
Hrm, so, the 2405FPW is basically down to what I paid a year ago when it initially came out ($803 shipped).
Hopefully they drop some more! I'd like to pick up another one to use as an HDTV--name another 24" 1080p capable display for $800.
eWiz has 1 GB modules for $94.20:
http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=D32RB1GW
The brand is "Supertalent." Despite the name I have 4 of these in my Dual Opteron system and they work great. I'm personally waiting for the prices on 2 GB modules to drop a bit more.
I'm a student administrator for the MSDNAA program at my school's computer science department (NMSU CS.
Just for some useful information, the MSDNAA program provides downloadable ISOs of almost all "developer-related" software titles for free. Hard copy CDs can also be ordered for a very...
