Need help with new build, PC not posting :(

I'm going to get a new power supply and case soon, but I finally got everything working! I was dumb and apparently never plugged in both the 12pin and 4pin atx plugs into either motherboards which is why they never fully booted. I even got the speaker on my case working. The only thing I...

Call of Duty 4 is AWFUL

It's probably the best game for the Xbox360 or at least in the top 3. I haven't even played the full single player campaign because I only like competitive online multiplayer games. I've never played the PC version, but it's one of the few games that I can still pick up and have a blast...

Need help with new build, PC not posting :(

Ok, so I'm even more discouraged now then before. I tried everything: running bare system outside the box on cardboard, putting in an old 775 p4 that I know works, using a different PSU that I know works, trying multiple video cards that I know work, different cpu fans... and still no post...

Erm, I meant half of my family has the name Pilch. Cool I'll have to try that.

Need help with new build, PC not posting :(

Thanks for answering that. Unfortunately this case's speaker doesn't seem to work with this motherboard. I may end up buying a new case soon, but I'll try assembling the components out of the case first. Half of my family's last name is Pilch. I wonder if we're related.

Need help with new build, PC not posting :(

Thanks for the advice I'll try that later. What exactly is a "short in the case" though? I know the case itself is in working condition prior to the build. Also, how do I turn on the PC without the case hooked up to it? Also, would a bios normally not post without a CPU inserted or one that...

Possible video card problem (no image on boot up)

On an unrelated question, when I install my DDR2 RAM and secure the clips, should I still be able to pull out the RAM modules without undoing the clips? Both motherboards have slots that leave them loose, and no matter how hard I push down the RAM never stays secure. Now I'm not totally clueless...

Possible video card problem (no image on boot up)

Thanks for trying, but that link doesn't appear to apply to my Asus board. I've reseated the CPU one more time and still non change so I'll try the old motherboard with the new PSU and see if I get anywhere since I don't know what that beep sequence means.

Possible video card problem (no image on boot up)

Ok, I got a new 450watt PSU today, installed on the new motherboard, with new RAM and a new video card and it DOES POST with no image. It does one long beep then two quick ones and then a few seconds later it'll do it again and again. I checked the manual and Asus's website but there's no...

Possible video card problem (no image on boot up)

I've tried this already with brand new RAM also on the old motherboard and the new one. So does that indicate a PSU problem or CPU? Everything does power up fine. I'll try and grab a new PSU today to see if that helps.

Possible video card problem (no image on boot up)

I bought a new motherboard and it still isn't booting up. Now my question is, even if the cpu is dead would the PC still boot with POST beeps? Any suggestions before I order a new p4?

Just what I was afraid of, the new video card isn't helping. Back to the drawing board...

Possible video card problem (no image on boot up)

I was playing World of Warcraft last week after my PC had been running atleast 24 hours straight and in the middle of a game my PC completely shutdown like I had a power outage (but only my PC was affected). If I tried starting it again everything powers on except the monitor. I've tried...
