So I just fried my gaming laptop due to overheating so I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on a 17" laptop cooling system. I don't want to do any crazy water-cooled custom stuff and out of the box stuff is fine. I was looking at the ZALMAN ZM-NC2000 as I found a lot of good...
Recently I have been getting intermittent disconnects from my broadband connection about every 30 minutes or so. It will disconnect for a few second, minutes, or indefinitely (until I power cycle). I have no router and I turned off all of my protection (firewall, etc.) and it still fails. I...
Non-game related I do multitask like a son-of-a-gun (web + music + download + burning + etc). Sometimes even while I'm gaming. (Battleground queue anyone?) Would a duel core help with this kind of stuff?
Yeah seeing that AW in in cahoots with Dell scares me. We are always having problems with them at work. But then again our IT dept knows jack about computers...
Really? Hmm didn't know that. I get a discount from Dell through my work.
I was checking out the Voodoo stuff. Cool stuff, but dang are they expensive.
I'm in the market for a high end notebook (gaming, CAD, engineering aps, etc) and I keep hearing good things about the alienware stuff. I'm always on the move so a desktop is out of the question. Looking to spend $3k to $3.5k.

I'm a pilot that lives in Michigan, but based in DC. Therefore I spend 4 nights a week in a hotel room. I can't really game too much when I go home for 3 days as I would like to spend some time with my wife. :)...
So I'm in the market for a gaming notebook, but I want to make sure that I get all of the "required" attributes so a solid gaming system. ANY info would be helpful. I also want to be able to hook it up to my 32" LCD TV should the need arise.
Thanks!
I'm looking at getting a notebook and alienware offers a RAID 0 hard drive configuration. Is it worth the cash? Or should I upgrade Processor or Videocard instead?
I'm looking at either getting a GeForce? Go 7800 GTX or Quadro? FX Go 1400 for a gaming notebook. I don't really know too much about the Go 1400. What do you guys think?
I am installing the ATI catalyst 4.4 drivers and I get a severe error which states:
"Setup was unable to complete the instillation.
Try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup"
Not sure what to do next.
