How to fix NZXT CAM Software not Auto-Starting

Hello Ananders!! For those who have the NZXT Kraken X62 (or any of their coolers), the CAM software has a problem starting up after the first installation. To the best of my knowledge this has been going on for over TWO YEARS!! WHUT? Well, now that I just installed my very first NZXT CPU...

Hi Ananders! Finally received all the parts for my 8700K build just before Thanksgiving, so with the family out of town, guess what I did for Thanksgiving??! Yup, built it and wow is it beautiful. And fast!! And quiet!! Working on a build video, but for now here's one pic of the final...

HELP -- PSU Calculators all different

Probably true, but I did pretty much what you suggested, except I may have multiplied by 1.5 instead of 2. That gave me 700, and I went with a 750 EVGA PSU.

Awesome, pulling the trigger on the EVGA 80 Gold SuperNova 750 G3. That's the last thing I needed to begin my 8700K build over thanksgiving. Thank you, everyone!

HELP -- PSU Calculators all different

Thank you for the quick reply UsandThem! I was JUST looking at the EVGA fully modular SuperNOVA 750W G3. Maybe I will drop down to the 650W unit, though I wish they made a 700W one. Also, any recommendations on custom cables? I was looking at mod-one.com. I figured I would do the 2 power...

HELP -- PSU Calculators all different

Hello Ananders! So I am building a new PC, carrying over only my EVGA 1080 GTX FTW, and my 3x1TB SSD drives. Everything else is new: Intel 8700K (yes, mine did ship and arrived yesterday) Gigabyte AOURUS Gaming 7 mobo Thermaltake Core P3 SE Snow Edition (bought the tempered glass) 4x8GB...

And here's my reasoning summed up nicely in a review of the Gigabyte AORUS Gaming 7 motherboard I plan to buy:

Has Anyone tried the Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 7?

Hmmmm, thank you for the head's up! I was planning to do this build over the Thanksgiving break, but that's a $70 price drop from where it is now at $249.

    2 sticks or 4 for 32GB on Z370?

Thank you BonzaiDuck! Wow, that's a lot to unpack. So yes, 4x8GB is ~$430 and 2x16GB is ~$520. From both a money and aesthetics perspective, 4x8GB is the more attractive option. And some slight voltage increases doesn't sound too bad. So then it comes down to whether the speed / performance...

Cool, thank you for the that. Since most folks haven't gotten their 8700K yet, there aren't many people that can report on these mobos.

    2 sticks or 4 for 32GB on Z370?

Hmmm... So I do want to overclock the 8700K a little bit, but not a whole lot. So 3000Mhz or 3200Mhz memory speeds would be all I'd need, I think? 4 RGB sticks would look cooler in my open TT Core P3 Snow case, especially the G.Skill Trident Z RGB ones. But I've heard 4 sticks of memory on a...

Bought the TT Core P3 SE Snow, so now...

Hello Ananders! I bought the TT Core P3 SE Snow, so now I need some good RGB. Period. Lots of RGB. LOL. But specifically, I need an AIO option that actually cools a CPU. I was thinking about these two: NZXT Kraken X62 Thermaltake WATER 3.0 Triple Riing RGB And if I did get the NZXT, could...

    2 sticks or 4 for 32GB on Z370?

Hello! So my 8700K shipped today, and I need a motherboard and memory. I know the Z370 is dual channel but, I see so many Coffee Lake builds on YouTube using 4 sticks of memory. The prices aren't that much different. So 2 sticks of 16GB? or 4 of 8GB? Corsair Memory Thanks in advance!

I am confused why so many people are upset about the lack of 8700K processors, or any of the Coffee Lake procs, for that matter? It's not like your CPU died on October 5th? You are probably right. First, I should update my monitor, as it is now a 3440x1440 100Hz curved monitor, but regardless, I am looking to improve the number of threads I have and memory speed. So going from 4/8 to 6/12 will help in games like Ashes of the Singularity, and 32GB of memory can be...

Ok, And I figure about about $200 to $250 for the motherboard?? Hmmm, strong recommendation for AMD. I wasn't planning on getting DDR 4000+ memory. How much is 32GB of 4000+? And is that really necessary for mostly gaming performance?

Awesome (and quick feedback)! Thank you guys! It does seem like the wise thing to wait for the 8700k, and then do the full comparison with the Ryzen at that point. Though I think I will lean toward Intel for now. How much would you expect the Intel 8700k + new motherboard to be?
