Well, like I said: I've been running the drive pretty much 24x7 since I got it, with 0 issues. I'll let you guys know if something happens to it. :)

Anyway, I personally have had amazing luck w/ Seagate. I say "luck" because I know it's just that when it comes to HDD failure, but for whatever reason Seagate has been good to me. I haven't dealt with any...
I 100% agree with your advice here. But, I just did a full format on a 1TB and a 1.5TB drive and it took a long time for both of them. I eventually got bored and just left my comp for a while and came back.
I guess a "long time" is subjective, though. To a lot of people (like me) anything...
I did a review on xcpus of the new Seagate 1.5TB drive. Figured some of you might want to check it out and give some feedback. :)
