Outlook not receiving return message notifications?

Hi guys, Any idea why Outlook (ver. 2007) doesn't receive return/reject message notifications for mail that was sent to the wrong address? OE receives them on the same domain and there are no mail account-based settings in the domain configuration that could be causing this. This is...

Making personal folder private in WinXP

Currently, anyone who logs on to my machine (and this can be a network user logging on to the domain) can see all of the files in my personal directory (i.e. C:\Documents and Settings\user name). How do I make this directory private so that no one besides me can get access to it? Anyone know?

    MS Office 2007 Basic OEM

Hi guys, I bought this (newegg link) a few weeks ago and was wondering where I can download the software from. I've checked Microsoft's website and they don't even have Office 2007 Basic listed. I tried downloading the trial version of Office 2007 Standard, which isn't quite the same as...

Do system time/date changes in Windows get logged anywhere?

I was looking through the logs and noticed that date and time changes don't get logged, which strikes me as unusual. Is there some place that Windows logs date & time changes?

    Recommend a heatsink

I just finished my system build (specs will follow) and I got hold of a retail G0 Q6600 at Microcenter for $200. Right now I'm just running it at stock speed with the stock cooler but would like to see how far I can overclock it. Can you guys recommend a good HSF unit and thermal grease...

    Decrypting files

I have an external drive on which I have some data from 2004 that I apparently thought was a good idea to encrypt back then. When I try to decrypt through Windows (through properties), it says access denied. Anyone know how to decrypt files?

I have an Optiplex 320 which has integrated video but I would also like to run a PCI video card so I can hook up dual monitors. The integrated chip is a Radeon Xpress 1100 and the PCI card is a Rage XL. What do you guys think?

Any thooughts on the PowerEdge R200?

Yeah, I realize that this isn't a common question here, but any thoughts on this server? It's running the Intel 3200 chipset, which should mean support for regular DDR-2 SDRAM as well as Core 2 Duos and Quads - even the 45nm ones. Am I mistaken in the above assumption? It's a very...

    Build or wait?

I need to build a PC soon and am wondering whether to hold off for the 45nm Intel CPUs to come out or to just go with a Q6600 and call it a day. From what I've read about the QX9850, it looks very impressive, so I'm suspecting that a lower-end 45nm quad would be equally impressive at its price...

    Strange noise emanating from computer

There's a strange noise coming from the computer when I start it up. It's high-pitched and annoying but it's not a beeping mobo code. I opened up the computer and I noticed that when I power it up the CPU fan doesn't spin up immediately but takes a while and sometimes stops and then comes on...

Is it possible to play a PC video game off the HDD?

I have a few old games that I like to play but my DVD drive is usually occupied by family guy DVDs. Would it be possible to run the games off the HDD (i.e. copy the DVDs' contents to the HDD and prevent the shortcut from looking for the DVD)?
