Picked it up for $137.22 USD shipped to Kansas City. Quite a bit better deal than the $130 shipped Cavalry from buy.com. I'll gladly pay $7.22 for Seagate, 5-Year warranty and 32MB cache.
Rockhound1 - If you had read the thread you'd see that it was acknowledged it's been OOS online for a while now but B&M stores carry the card and will match for the same price.
Thanks OP. I picked one up for $252+tax ($273 out the door). They wouldn't combine online price-match and 10% off coupon. In store was $280 and online is $252, so was 10% off already anywway. Good deal.
The moderators seem to be under the impression that employees receive perks by referring customers (which is false) and thus do not allow people requesting referrals nor employees just wanting to help people out. Just be on the lookout for any valid @sprint.com email address and you can use it...
Yeah, any employee address will work just fine. Employees do *not* receive anything for SERO referrals nor does it even tie back to the referring employee. It's only to get past the sprint.com/sero login and that is it. It's not a "Do you really know this person?" -- It doesn't matter at all...
Just FYI, got an email at work (it hasn't been posted to sprint.com/sero yet) but Sprint has continued Unlimited Text Messaging for new SERO accounts through Sept 29th
Maybe it's just me, but there are cheaper 1gb x2 pc3200 kits out there. Wintec, Super Talent, G.SKILL, A-DATA, pqi, Patriot...
I mean we're talking low-end ram here to begin with and they all have lifetime warranties. dunno just doesn't seem that *hot* to me I guess. 2x1gb ram @ 3-3-3-7...
I currently use GMAC and am happy. Unless the rate between them and HSBC jumps considerably, I'll keep my money with them. They have great CD rates as well.
It's up to 4.80% now.
Realize it's a Money Market Savings account so it's a bit different (better than a regular MMA account imo)... I got checks for the account, but it's limited to 6 withdrawals a month.
Heh, thanks.
I was hoping the forumers would be intelligent enough to not need a hand-holding through investments, but yeah I suppose it's a good idea just to be safe so people don't lose all their money.
Ahh, gotcha, avoid taking out loans if you can. Also realize that most of your tuition, fees, and book expenses can be deducted from your yearly income.
If the company is dragging their feet, go ahead and get an IRA setup. There's no reason you can't have both anyway. After your initial...
Alienwho:
I know it seems ridiculous to think about this now, but starting a retirement account at your age is an extremely good idea. If you are employed, see if your employer does a 401k, otherwise take a look at IRA's (Traditional and Roth). They are a great way to start a retirement...
For any investing, however, the real profit is realized over a much longer time period. Say you stick that $5000 in the account tomorrow, and an extra $75 a month for the next 10 years, all the while it's gaining 4.75% APY.. after 10 years you would have $19,381.74 -- But out of pocket money...
Alienwho:
Well that 4.15% is APY, so the compounding interest is already taken into account. On $5000, at the current rate, that would get you $207.50 the first year, or about $17.29 (it'd be less the first 6 months, more the last 6) a month.
Take a look at...
Which portion of what I said are you referring to for a ROTH IRA?
A ROTH IRA is an investment for retirement in which you place your after-tax dollars into this. It allows a maximum of $4,000 a year contribution ($5,000 if you are 50+).
However your money is most definitely not fluid...

Because everyone should have a bit of savings in a totally secure situation that is easily accessible. The intent of these isn't to become rich from ING/Emigrant/HSBC, but to make a little bit of a return on your savings as opposed to your local bank that is offering a whopping 0.30%...
Except Paypal isn't FDIC insured, if you read the terms they even say that your money is guaranteed safe in that account, and Paypal is notorious amongst eBayers/etailers for randomly locking accounts, impossible to get ahold of, random chargebacks, disappearing money...
Yeah, if they work...
ING is a bit lower than HSBC/Amboy/Emigrant.. but I dunno, I'm *very* impressed with their service and functionality so far in comparison to the others (I had an account with HSBC.. Tried to signup at Amboy but their stupid website kept erroring/failing).
Gonna stick with ING unless the...
ING Direct, as stated above, is now at 4.15%.
However, they are also offering a referral program where the referred (new account with $250 minimum) gets $25 and the referree (me?) gets $10.
If anyone is looking at setting up an account at ING Direct, let me know if you'd like a referral...
I have to say I have been using dreamhost for about 2 years and lately I have started to notice the same sort of behavior, although it's not a direct result of getting traffic at a given time. But yeah, my sites will suddenly become inaccessible for the same period of time.
Great deals but...
evilroot:
Yeah, you'll encounter that with most in-store sales. Most stores aren't aware of the offer because they are in direct contact with customers on a daily basis. This offer was intended for the corporate employees (like me) who although work for Sprint, don't have anything to do...
People seem to have luck, but it's a headache getting to switch to the plan via retentions, especially if you are under contract. If you are out of contract your only issue is keeping your cell phone number.
The normal plan is for non-existing Sprint customers to become new Sprint customers...
Schmide - Not really a crap, just showing your ignorance and willingness to use instable software. I for one welcome a company that doesn't allow phpNuke or phpBB as their coding is about as ****** as it can get. That just means the stability and security is increased for other users.
Because when someone is making money off of a "HotDeal" that's where they draw the line between helping us and helping themselves. It turns from a selfless act into a selfish act with the justifcation that you provided. You're right, we might save money, but the simple fact that you are...
