    8800GT Upgrade

I want to upgrade my graphic card from 8500gt to 8800gt. I'm not sure if it can fit into my case. I have 10" of room to fit into my case. Unless I modify my HD cage somehow or get a new case. Where can I get the exact length of graphic cards? I also need to upgrade my psu to use the 8800gt...

How good is this 8800 gt budget card for gaming?

I'll measure it when I get home. I think I'll get the BFG (it has a lifetime warranty), then. It comes OC'ed and Best Buy has it for a good price (with gift cards).

How good is this 8800 gt budget card for gaming?

yes it will be a huge difference, and you might not need to upgrade your psu That's what I thought. My other concern is that the 8800gt with not fit into my case, unless I move or cut the HD cage. Here is a picture of the inside of the case: You see how the cage (F) is blocking. I...

How good is this 8800 gt budget card for gaming?

Thanks for the heads up about Geek Squad. I currently have 8500gt. Will it be a huge difference between 8800gt (512) vs 8500gt (256). I think my graphic card and psu (I need to bump this up in order to get the 8800gt card) is bottlenecking my system. Any suggestions? I'm...

How good is this 8800 gt budget card for gaming?

I'm in the same boat. I want to upgrade my graphic card to the 8800gt 512, but I need to upgrade my psu. My problem is I do not think I have enough room in my case for the 8800gt, so I'm going to have to make room. I have a gateway. I was debating about letting Geek Squad @ Best Buy do...

    9600se???

Thanks! What about a little lower resolution? Like 1024/768 @ higher refresh rate like 80? I'm asking because I already bought 9600se and I'm debating if I should return it for the 9600XT. I would have to pay a restocking charge of 15% and $70 difference. Derek:confused:

From GeForce 2 to Radeon 9600 SE

I had the same problem with my 9600se card. I went to the ati website and downloaded the newest driver and it works, so far. I have XP and it kept trying to install the drivers itself. Good luck. P.S. I also tried calling ati and could not get through to talk to anyone, but was on hold forever.
