Driving around. I knew what neighborhood I wanted a house in so I just kept looking in that area pretty much every weekend. I went to a realtor and she set up times to view the various houses that I found.

I know in Arizona they have a lot of HAWK signals which are slightly different than regular traffic signals. They have two red lights side by side and a yellow light underneath. They are for pedestrian crossings. I'm not sure if thats what you have seen or not.
Civil engineer here. I work for the Department of Transportation and I like that things I work on are used by almost anyone. Although I guess that can probably be said about most fields of engineering. I just enjoy the kinds of things that I work on I guess.
