    This isn't good is it

So I was parting out an old system, checking the hard drives and such and happened to notice this on one of my own drives: The drive isn't very old, I just purchased it in June of last year. I'm hoping this is somehow normal for a SSD but it REALLY doesn't look like it :(

    PCIe Slot Configuration

I'm getting ready to build a new z97 system. The system is going to be be air cooled with a large 140mm heatsink. The motherboard I had in mind was a Z97 OC Formula. The problem is, the cooler is not going to fit on the board with the graphics card in the top slot. If I move it to a different...

    Hard Drive Partitioning Issue

I'm building an older system and have run into a weird problem. I'm using an Abit IP35V motherboard and a WD sata hard drive and cannot partition/format it while it's hooked up to this board. If I attach the hd to my other computer (a x58) it works just fine...so it's not the drive itself. I...

    Scythe rant

Hey guys I thought I'd post a little rant. I decided to install my old Mugen 2 in my HTPC (yeah, its a full size case :D). I haven't used it for a couple years and apparently when I broke it down, I didn't put all the parts together. Suffice to say, I'm missing some critical parts. I...

Video card memory as L2 cache..?

Is it possible to use (some) video card memory as pseudo l2 cache? The reason I ask is because i'm rebuilding an old system that doesn't have *any* l2 cache, so it's pretty much grabbing the data directly from the (horribly slow) ram. The memory on the video card however is considerably faster...

Smokin' Hot Prices on Games @ ClubIT.com **OOS**

I was looking around clubit and came across their games section (didn't know they sold any heh). Anyway, they've got some pretty badass games for $5.99/shipped (like Quake Wars, Lost Planet, and Rainbow Six Vegas). The only catch is that most are oem (though I'd imagine the only difference is...

Vista Home Premium Retail (Full Version) - $119/shipped

I'm not sure if this is a pricing error or not but I found this site on pricegrabber selling Vista Home Premium for $119/shipped. It's the full retail version, not the upgrade version (according to the SKU). If it's legit, it's one heck of a deal. Now...who wants to be the ginnie pig? :D
