Mine posts fine with a 2500K as well. I bought mine at Superbiiz last week and it too came with the 1.B BIOS according to the little green sticker on top of the BIOS chip.
Interesting, good to know most of them are replaceable. The RAZR was first on my list due to its touted build quality. It would be good for my outdoor "in the boonies" fun. Could you recommend a phone that is rugged like the RAZR with a replaceable battery?
Thanks guys. So if I want to use one of these phones long term as a non-phone, hand held application device, I would think being able to replace the battery every few years would be important. Which of these top of the line phones allow the user to replace batteries? It looks like most of these...
I admit it, I have never owned a cell phone....
Dumb question, if I do a deal like this, get a new Razr with Verizon say, and after two years end the contract, will the phone still work as a handheld Android device I could use for non-phone Android apps? I am particularly interested in using...
Thanks Athena, my wife is going to try again tonight mentioning the 30 day price protection at another store. The first store insisted price protection was only 14 days.
Athena, how did you get the price adjustment after 2 1/2 weeks? I bought mine on Sept 28 and they wouldn't adjust it for me today because it was past the 14 day mark.
I would try letting the RAM speeds be selected by SPD. There is an option in the BIOS to do this.
My 775i65G with E6400 booted right up at 300 fsb after putting it together. I am running my DDR400 RAM at 2-3-3-7. This is the same Patriot RAM Anand used in their testing with the 775i65G. I...
I bought the 775i65G because it was available now. I would have preferred the ConRoe865PE if it had been available in the U.S. I did not need the mATX format of the 775i65G.
Like Xvys, I decided on the 775i65G and couldn't be happier. I immediately oc'd my E6400 using the 300 setting and am running at E6600 speeds at low temps on stock cooling. I am running my Patriot DDR400 sticks (the same exact ones used in the Anand reviews of this board) at 2-3-3-7 at DDR400...
I'm in the same boat. I have a E6400 coming this week and need to get an AGP/DDR400 compatible board. So far the 775i65G looks like the best as it at least allows you to go up to the 300 fsb range. Looking at the P5PE-VM manual I see no where to adjust the fsb from stock.
I sure wish...
Thanks Ed, looking forward to your report. It comes down to either this board or the ASRock 775i65G for me. They look almost identical in feature set. But I will buy the one that allows the most overclocking. So far the 775i65G looks like the better bet in this regard just by reading both...
Xvys,
I too appreciate you posting your experiences with your Conroe/775i65G upgrade.
I also want to recycle my RAM and videocard into my future Conroe upgrade.

How is the onboard sound on this board?
Also, is it set up to boot off an SATA drive out of the box? For some reason my current mb didn't allow this and I had to put my OS on an older IDE drive.
