Of the 26" TN lcd's I have looked at these 2 seem to be among the best. I prefer TN monitors because I am always looking straight on at my mine and my experience has been that they look better when gaming.
I know both of these lcd's are good. I was wondering if the viewsonic had anything that made it worth the $100 extra it would cost to get it over the T260
According to coolermaster it is 22-26db. To be honest I can't tell you because I have one of the mountain mod ufo cases so All I can hear is the case fan noise.
I have seen that gigabyte board in action. The big advantage that I think it has over this board is the voltage stability. I have to really put the vcore up there to get 3.6GHz on my 6600 because of the voltage drops. When I dropped it in my friends gigabyte board it took much less vcore. As far...
I am using the blue ice pro. I picked it up at svc for $8. According to this it does just as well as the heatpipe ones.

I have been running my e6600 conroe for about 4 months stable now at 8x400(3.2GHz) with 1.41 vcore.I am thinking about trying 9x400 but to do that I would need around 1.45-1.48 vcore. Heat is not an issue. I have an ultra 120 in a very cool case and the room stays cool. My idles temps are 29C on...
Has anyone else noticed that when rebooting the nvidia controller takes a while to dectect the raid arrays? If I do a cold start it detects the arrays quickly and continues booting. When I restart the system, the bios takes about 30-40 seconds to detect the raid arrays on the nvidia controller.
I have the ultra 120 mounted on mine using the bolt thru kit. With the fan on it blows to the back of the case. My loads temps never go above 40C running at 8x400(3.2GHz).
I have a Ultra-120 mounted using the bolt thru kit. I don't have any issues with the ram ram or nb cooler but I have removed the stock NB cooler and have a lower profile blue ice pro. The cooling is great with this. I am at 8x400 with 1.41v and load temps never go above 40C.
I had asked about the onboard sound earlier in this thread and was told it sounded okay but to get rid of the popping sound I needed to disable the onboard speaker. Is there a setting in the speaker driver to do this or do I just unplug the speaker?
I am using the blue ice pro for my nb cooler. The review on madshrimp shows it performing as well as a heatpipe cooler. And it fits with my big ultra-120.
I will give that a try tonight. How is the quality of the onboard sound? I currently have an audigy soundcard in a pci slot but I really need space so I was going to remove it and use the onboard one. Are there any issues with popping or static?
Well I got my system stable at 3.5GHz(8x438) but the memory is running like crap. The latency went from 50.1 at my 8x400 setting to 73.4. The memory read is 2000MB/s slower as well. My memory timings are 5-5-5-15 and it is at 1000MHz. I tried it with the memory at 4-4-3-12 with the memory at...
I have been busy getting my hr-03 plus installed on my 8800gts. I am going to get back to oc'ing my cpu this weekend. Any news on an updated version of the 05 beta bios?
Does anyone know where the sensor for the motherboard temperature is located? By this I mean is it at the top of the mobo near the memory or cpu area or near the video cards or near the bottom.
You mentioned that the zalman is just sitting on the cpu. Do you have it clamped on or is it just sitting on the cpu without the fastener attached? If it is just sitting without the fastener then these temps are about right and they are a little high to be running on.
For some reason it will not let me flash this bios. I tried the flash using the utility in the bios and I get a message saying Downgraded Rom is not suitable for system. I tried to flash from a floppy and it reads the filename and then exits the flash utility. Any ideas what I can do to get...
Sorry it took so long. I finally got around to trying my fsb higher than 400. I set it to 425 and the system was stable at 3.4GHz. The issue I had was with the memory divider. The memory was set at 796MHz but it was pig slow. The everest memory read was 2000MB/s slower than I was at fsb of 400...
This is a bug with XP. It happens you use and onboard raid controller(or at least the nvidia and the intel ones). It doesn't seem to happen if you have a pci or pci express raid card. The only way around it is to use a program such as nlite and slipstream the drivers. Once you do this, it goes...
I believe the hr05 will fit. I know that the hr-05-sli would not fit with my ninja or ulra 120 installed. That is why I went with the cooler master blue ice pro. If your case has good airflow, then the blue ice pro works as good as the heatpipe coolers according to this review...
I don't know about the Geil memory but I am using this supertalent. I can oc it to 1020MHz easily but I have found the sweet spot performance wise for me is running it at 800mhz with 4-4-3-10 settings http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820609026
Try a little better cooling and then increase the vcore some more. For me to get to 3.2GHZ with my 6600 I had to put the NB up to 1.5 and I am not sure what yours is at.
