Hey there. I'm trying to get 8GB of OCZ2P1066LV4GK into my rig:
Gigabyte EP45-UD3R (F9 bios)
Intel Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz
ATI HD4850
Asus Xonar DX
Antec NeoPower 550
Western Digital Blue 250GB
Windows XP
I have no problems using either 2*2GB kits by themselves, but when I have all 4 sticks...
So I've got a new job where I'm sitting at a desk all day and I'd like to get some new earbuds. I've always kinda cheaped out and bought the $10 things (I'm currently using some JVC Marshmallows with e2c pads and the Kramer mod) since audio quality doesn't matter so much when you're running, but...
I'm thinking I want to do something to improve the cooling in my case. My CPU (on a little overclock) is running at 35-40C idle and 59-64C load, and this is the coolest my room is ever going to get. Here's what I have:
Antec P160
1 stock fan in the back of the case
e4600 @ 3.0 with a OCZ...
Yeah, I feel like a noob. Recently, whenever I download something, Firefox and all of my other windows will lock up (I'm running XP by the way). If I leave it for a few minutes it will eventually start working as normal. Also, every now and then I'll get an error message when I try to paste or...
Here's my rig:
Intel C2D E4600 @ stock (2.40GHz)
Gigabyte EP45-UD3R
ATI HD 4830
Patriot 4GB RAM
Seagate 250GB HDD
Creative X-Fi Xtrememusic
I dabbled into overclocking on my GPU today for the first time, which was fairly easy, so I'm considering overclocking my CPU. Will it increase...
So I had a very hard time getting my heatsink on my board the first time, and I don't want to do it again when I replace my motherboard. Is there a better way to attach a heatsink than by the push-pins? I've heard there were attachments that would let you screw it in instead. Anyone have any...
Alrighty. So I currently have a three year old Coolmax 400W. The fan has been getting louder and stuff recent, which is almost enough to make me replace it. It's powering this right now:
Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 @ Stock
ASRock 775Dual-VSTA
ATI X1900XTX
2GB OCZ Gaming RAM
250GB SATA HDD...
I need a new PSU for this:
Intel E4600
Nvidia 8800GT
ASRock 775Dual-VSTA
OCZ 2 x 1GB
Seagate 250GB HDD
X-Fi Xtrememusic
Also, will my Coolmax 400W (+18 on 12V rail) run an 8800GT? I have a 7600GT right now with no problems.
So I scored a 4GB black Nano for $15, with the supposedly only problem being a cracked screen. I might try to replace the screen and battery this summer, but for now I'm going to try using it blind. So I'm wondering this:
1. Can I clear everything on it? On my Zune I can clear all the data...
EDIT: Due to general consensus, I'm looking at a whole new rig. Read latest post.
I was hoping to build a whole new gaming rig for this summer, but right now it looks like I won't have the budget to. I think I'll have enough for a few upgrades though. Here's my current rig:
Athlon 64...
