I have 4 sticks (16GB) of this and got a 7.9 score.

Here is my invoice from GlassesUnlimited. They charged +$45 for the bifocal lenses. Then deducted $29.99 for the 1saleaday coupon that cost me $15. So my total cost was $43.

Yep, 1saleaday charged $5 for shipping. My bifocal lenses from GlassesUnlimited were $57.99 and I had to pay the difference. Not sure why as I ordered no extras such as tinting, and my prescription is only +2.50.
You pay 14.99 ($10 + 4.99 shipping) at 1saleaday.com for a pair of glasses that cost $29.99 at GlassesUnlimited. If you select glasses with optional extras such as no scratch coating, progressive lenses, etc. that cost more than $29.99 then you have to pay the difference. The 1saleaday.com...
According to the Asus manual, there are very few 2GB certified RAM sticks that are approved for use in all 4 memory slots. Especially when using PC1066 sticks.
Also, I'd prefer to stick with an Intel chipset based MB.
I want to build a 64 bit VISTA system with at least 8GB of RAM and a quad core Intel processor.
Some considerations are:
1) it must be capable of some overclocking,
2) DDR2 (because DD3 is too expensive),
Do you think that an Asus P5Q Deluxe is a good choice? What might be a better...
Are you sure that the EZ-Backup SATA connectors work with optical devices? I think only SATA2 devices are compatible.
Have you tried the Jmicron SATA connector?
Hard to believe that three brand new motherboards are DOA!
Can you get your hands on an older/slower CPU to try out in case the BIOS was too old to support a 4000+ processor.
For whatever its worth, everyone that's looked at my WSXGA+ TrueLife display has commented how nice it looks. I have it configured to run at its native 1680 x 1050 resolution and opted for the optional ATI Radeon video adapter. Aside from the distracting reflections off its mirror shiny screen...
Havn't done much in the way of games so far. But the contrast seems very good although there's a fair amount of distracting reflections caught on the TrueLife screen. The screen brightness drops *significantly* when used on battery power alone so you need to be connected to A/C power to...
I bought an E1505 with the 15.4 inch WSXGA+ with TrueLife screen and am very pleased with it. But I've never compared it to an ASUS Z71V. In the end its all in the eye of the beholder.
I had something similar happen to me a while back. Try removing all of your PCI cards in the machine and reset the BIOS to default. Then insert the PCI cards in one at a time, rebooting after each card is inserted. The Motherboard will go thru its IRQ/PNP algorithm for each card, one at a...
Keep in mind that each additional hard drive draws power and generates heat. You?ll either run out of power or overheat your system long before you run out of drive letters.
Proprioceptive,
Do not use the Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard with the Lian-Li V-1000B case because this MB uses a heat pipe for passive cooling while your case mounts the MB upside down. It's not recommended to use a MB that uses a heat pipe with this type of case. Switch to the Asus...
Yes, she runs with it every single day. I'm sure this played a big part in the frequent failures. She's now getting a small iPOD Shuffle to use during her runs and will try to treat her regular iPOD with much more delicacy.
Live and learn. <g>
Because the video iPOD depends on a spinning hard drive, compared to flash memory in the Nano, it is much more likely to fail after any rough experiences.
My daughter has had 3 hard drive failures over the past 3 years.
Also, the Kingwin 424 is spec'd as "High quality aluminum-mg alloy case with 2.00mm aluminum thickness" while the SkyHawk is described as "High Quality 1.2mm Thick All Aluminum Alloy Frame, Body, Front & Side Panels".
The Skyhawk case may be a great value but it is definitely NOT the *same* case as the Kingwin 424. There are a number of differences, both inside and out, compared to the Kingwin.
I own both a Kingwin 424 and a different model of the Lian Li.
No hesitation in recommending the Kingwin and saving yourself $30. Both of these manufacturers make terrific cases.
ZZF is a reliable place to buy equipment from. However their return policy is a bit less attractive than Newegg's. I bought a new hard drive from ZZF that arrived DOA. You must obtain an RMA from ZZF within 15 days from the date the item was shipped. Since a few days tick away while in...
