Hi. I currently have z5500 and yesterday I ordered ath-m50 headphone.
Now I am trying to buy a soundcard that can offer better sound quality over my x-fi extrememusic.
I was determined to purchase Omega Claro halo but it seems like it doesnt have a subwoofer jack.
I do hear customer...
I am currently thinking about configuring my system into followings.
Option 1
Primary HDD - SSD ( will be installing O/S and games )
Secondary HDD - HDDs ( Samsung Spinpoint 1TB) ( will be putting movies, musics, data )
or
Option 2
Primary HDD - RAID 0 ( Using two Samsung...
I currently have Sennheiser HD 280 headphone
,which is plugged into headset slot in my 5.1 logitech speaker.
( the speaker itself is plugged into Creative x-fi soundcard.)
here is my question.
if I hook the sennheiser headset onto new 2.1 channel speaker's headset slot, will I be able to...
I really want to be able to distinguish the difference between
behind/front/top/down when playing fps games like bf2 or call of duty 4.
Seinheinner hd280 does look like a very good headphone.
But my concern is that it is still stereo headphone and im not sure whether
it would...
So which one should I go for?
I was gonna go for P5Q pro but it seems like there are so many issues with that
mobo so Id probably choose between those two.
Foxconn P45A-S

Foxconn p45a-s seems to offer good oc capabilities and...
I am the original OP and it was a... PAIN reading
through reading 11 pages of hot heated debates. But it was worth it. :)
Beginning seemed a bit dramatic as people from both sides clashed
and chopped each others on the face and became drenched with each others blood.
getting...
Im trying to get xigmatek s1283 from newegg. But I see tons of complains on how the
heatsink should be installed. ( mostly pin problem ).
Ive never installed a healsink of Intel's 775 socket before and it seems the installation procedure is extremely painful.
So.. I am going to buy this...
I am getting WD 500gb harddrive along with win vista 64bit
I know that win vista takes at least 15 gb so I am thinking about
dividing the drive into two partitions ( 100gb / 400 gb )
So 100 GB segment will have Windows Vista 64 bit with all other system files
and remaining 400 GB...
Someone recommends the method of manual spreading.
Like manually spreading the TIM with tool such as razor blade.
Is that better over using line or grain method?
answer can be kinda subjective since the price cut of gtx200 series.
Id definately go for 4870 if Nvidia retained their original price.
Now that 280 is coming down to $399, along with physx support,( 260 almost as same as 4970 )
I am re-considering my original plan of buying 4870...
So if I buy 4870x2 card...
will there be any chance that I can take advantage of PhysX?
Looks like motherloads of developers are on PhysX bandwagon but
it looks like physx works on the card that actually supports it.
Even if Nvidia and Ati cooperates, do you guys think it will be...
Grain of rice / size of BB / Drawing a line in the middle.
It seems like there are so many methods.
Which methods do you guys use and why?
Does it spread evenly on your first try?
So how will PhysX become compatible with existing hardware in the future? ( Including Ati card, Xbox360 which uses ati chipset, ps3 which doesnt seem to have physx support yet ).
I've heard the news that motherloads of game developers got on the PhysX bandwagon.
( including console develops...
Again no one asked for specifics. Unless you are having fun talking to yourself.
Good luck with that.
Thanks for profound material.
The answer I wanted to hear. :) Thanks so much
I never asked about the specific lifespan of processor. Think LOGICALLY. ;p Read the post.
I am asking what aspect of overclocking would REDUCE the LIFE SPAN of physical CPU itself. You seemed to have confused it with life cycle of CPU.
I know that high voltage reduces the life span of CPU.
But what if you overclock and can still safely stay on stock voltage?
Will that still reduce the life span of CPU? even if you are on stock voltage?
I once read an article saying that
CPU is sold on market at its most stable speed...
Asus K8n-e with Athlon 64 3000
im trying to replace this old mobo for P5q pro along with all other component.
I hope P5q pro comes with good overclocking options.
I am currently trying to oc Q9550 ( 2.8 ) to 3.4ghz using sunbeam core contact cooler.
Now only thing i need is motherboard.
I have P5Q pro in my mind at this point but any more recommendation would also be welcome.
Doesn't matter bro. Its going down. :)
and as for your setting, Is that on stock voltage or did you adjust it?
tuniq seems like a good cooler but im not sure that would fit on P5Q pro board.
I have a feeling that you understood us wrong.
' HOW MUCH ' is average for ' SPENDING ' on ' CASE ' ?
I see. Thank you for your response. My concern is that the value I calculated from the website, http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp came out to be 603w.
So rather than...
Coolmax CUG-700
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817159058
Main reason why I chose that was that not only that it got good ratings but
I can also get $25 off with the combo deal ( gskill ddr 800 ram that im trying to buy )
so I actually end up paying $84 for 700w PSU ( after...
Thanks. But what i wanna know is how much it is going to hit on stock cooler while remaining stable just as how majority of E8400 owner can hit around 3.6ghz on stock cooler.
I just purchased G15.
I like all the backlightening and LCD screen and all but the biggest problem is that
I can't seem to press more than 4-5 keys at once. ( unbelievable considering this is supposed to be a gaming keyboard with high price )
Though this is a critical problem for any FPS...
hmm.. I thought Q9550 was easy to overclock due to high multipliers.
Q9550 has 333 mhz and I still have to overclock it to 400mhz to achieve 1:1 with
PC6400.
Lets say E8400 can easily hit 3.6ghz on stock cooler
So how does it go for Q9550?
Thanks for the info.
The system I will be getting will be Q9550 + HD4870 + 700w PSU.
After seeing the opinions of you guys, it looks like $150 is
probably an overkill ( for case alone).
I usually play game a lot ( and encoding too ) and the my room temperature
is around avg 82F. So...
I am currently trying to get Q9550 and I have a feeling that I might need to overclock it
to 3.4ghz so it can achieve 1:1 ratio with ddr800.
At the same time, I am also trying to get Arctic cooling freezer pro 7.
I was informed that Artic cooling freezer pro 7 comes with preapplied thermal...
I am currently trying to build a new gaming machine. But im not sure which type of case I must buy.
First of all, it will be ATx and the max I am going to invest is $150.
Can anyone recommend me a good case for gaming?
Also what kind of things should I consider when I buy a case?
What will happen to the price of core2 duo/quad cpus after the release of nehalem?
I hope it would drop but considering the fact that Intel just cut the price of their high
end CPU ( after Aug 11), I am not certain wether they are really going to drop
their price again. What do you...
