You absolutely get to choose skills via socketing runestones. Since there's five flavors for each skill that change it pretty significantly, that's where the variety and "build" comes into play.
In an interview with Gamespot, Max said it'll be out by Thanksgiving. He has a vacation booked right after so he said he needs to get it shipped by then.
Even though it says "Not Responding" in the task manager, I had to let it run 5-10 minutes the first time for it to boot up. After that it was fine.
Try just letting it run.
Mostly because Word at War demonstrated that Treyarch is very capable when given a proper development timeline instead of the 9 months they were given for CoD3. Infinity Ward will probably never be duplicated, but Treyarch is quite good.
One more for the Bombcast. They're very console-oriented and have a good mix of personalities. They seem to be aimed at the over-25 crowd with a college-level+ vocabulary.
No whiners really in this one like in Player One (which everyone else seems to like a lot, too).
The audio available and supported in gaming is already the best of what's available. Any perceived shortcoming is just the production quality and not a technical shortcoming; it's up to the developers to create and implement sound well.
Most important thing about this game (and all games of this style) is how good the combat feels and in this case, it's fantastic.
It's far too early to say the game is bland or boring. Tons of enemies and a satisfying way to kill them makes for good times.
This game is a testing ground and way to finance the MMO version that will be out in the next year or two. No one will play your mmo if there's multi in the single-player version.
This game shouldn't be compared with Fallout 3. Someone else said that Fallout 3 is an RPG with some shooter mechanics. Borderlands is a Shooter with diablo-style rpg elements.
Apples and oranges. Quests are mostly like the WoW fetch ones. This game is about gunplay and finding bigger...
SecuROM on a download service seems counterintuitive. With Steam's built in DRM, I would think that SecuROM is left off. Have there been previous Steam/D2D games that included the retail DRM?
For Exchange, Entourage is really the only game in town. Mail.app can be set up for exchange access using webDAV (assuming you're on 10.5.5+), but you're still pretty much SOL on calendar. Your only other real option is to use OWA (web interface for Exchange) for both.
But since you're...
Do you like modern weapons or WWII weapons? That's what it pretty much boils down to. The games are almost identical except WaW has a few extra MP options and larger maps.
Both are great and you're not going to go wrong either way. Make your decision on what setting interests you more.
Gears of War's Locust Queen went for a similar sound also. It's a good benchmark to follow; the God of War lady has done some of the best voice-over work ever.
