Here's a good link to the thread over at HardForum:

I actually got my monitor on Wed. of this week, and so far I'm really impressed with it. I don't seem to have any problems with dead/stuck pixels, and the backlight bleeding isn't really...
I just ordered mine yesterday and it's already picked up by FedEx...should be here on or around Sept 17th. This should be good, I've been waiting about 2 years for a good 24"
This is great news, I've been waiting for such a long time for a good 24" monitor, and decided to wait after the LP2475w was released. Here's to hoping that Dell releases a great monitor!
I assume that this monitor will be wide gamut as well since it's the same panel? That kinda sucks for...
I would beware if you're using these speakers on Headunit power alone - some of these seem to run at 2ohm, while the majority of headunits only operate at 4 ohm. I got a set of 2ohm Kappas and went through 2 pairs of speakers until I realized that the were getting blown by the headunit...
What do you guys think are the chances that Apple will update the rest of their Cinema Display line? I've been looking for a 24" DVI monitor for quite some time, and I was hoping that they would offer one at Macworld...I got all excited when they released the 24" Mini-DP one, only to find out...
Just a quick note about a Blu-ray drive on a PC...wouldn't both your video card and your monitor have to be HDCP-capable in order to play Blu-Ray movies? Not sure if this is an issue for you, but it could be a problem.
^You're wrong, there aren't any mini-displayport to DVI adapters yet that will allow you to connect the new monitor to an older, DVI laptop. The cables you speak of allow mini-DP laptops connect to older DVI monitors
Does anyone know if the Amazon video rental service uses flash as well? They have a couple of rental deals for $.99 and it would be a lot easier to buy it that way and watch it, rather than going to the store...
Has anyone ever had problems getting cashback when buying a gift card off of eBay? I bought a $500 gift card about a week ago, and I'm in the process of trying to get the 25% added to my Live.com account. I've never had any other problems before getting the cashback applied automatically...
Can't you already do this with hot corners? I have mine set up so that if I move to the upper right of the screen, Dashboard opens. Upper left is Expose, and bottom left hides all windows
I got my applecare on eBay and it was activated fine, so I don't see why there should be a problem. I'm debating whether or not I should send mine in, it has about 8 dead pixels, but then I think I could get an even worse screen in return so I'm hesitant to do so.
My older MBP seems to have similar viewing angles, and my mom's macbook seems to have even worse viewing angles than mine, and my MBP screen is a TN, so I don't think the new ones are IPS either.
On the hardforums thread about this monitor, someone got in contact with HP and they said they were the same monitor, just different pricing for different customers. I think it was something about the cheaper price was an online price, whereas the other was for a phone or store price.
Just as a FYI, I just got $150 into my Paypal account from the set of golf irons I bought about 2 months ago, so no worries about that. All though now I'm stuck trying to find something to buy to get the 30% off. Anyone recommend a good wide angle zoom lens for my mom's 5D?
When I was a student, I signed up to be an ADC Student Developer, which gave me a large, 1-time discount on a PC purchase. It costs $99, but that got me Leopard and about $600 off my MBP, which was well worth it for me.
General question about the HP LP2475W...would this really be a bad monitor for web design and photoshop work? I have a simple hardware calibrator that I could use to calibrate the monitor, but I just have a big fear since it's wide-gamut. It seems like a great display, only the wide-gamut is...
^Actually, if the LCD monitor is 8-bit, then that would be more accurate. MBP's only have 6-bit screens, so it shouldn't give a more accurate color. If your LCD monitor is a cheapy 6-bit one as well, then the MBP might be better.
Did the author actually prove he's using 8GB by looking at the Activity Monitor? I have an older MBP which can only use about 3GB of RAM, but if I look at the About This Mac screen, it says I have 4GB of RAM...yet I can only use about 3GB of the RAM installed.
I assume that this is different...
Well I just ordered a set of Taylormade R7 TP Irons, got 25% off for the Live Search plus the 10% Paypal Code. I got about $150 off with the cashback, and $60 off for the 10%. So all in all, the Irons were about $625 - 210 = 415. Pretty hot deal when other sites are charging $799 for the same...
I'm debating whether or not I should buy a set of golf irons...I was going to wait until next year to buy some, but with this 25% off plus the 10% I was offered from eBay, I could get a really good deal right now.
I think all you have to do is power off the PS3, then power it back on but hold down/keep your finger on the power button. A menu should show up on the screen, allowing you to choose the video input.
I used to use Dreamweaver a lot on my Mac, namely because I used Dreamweaver on my PC. I've been using Coda for about 3 months now and it's grown on me a lot. It has a lot of great features and works better for me than Dreamweaver. One particular thing I like is that when you edit a file on...
And looking at all of the problems the 2408WFP has, I don't even think it is worth it at this price. Revision A01 is due out sometime in July to supposedly fix the problems, but that's too far away for this deal.
I have the Bytecc eSATA expresscard and it works fine with Leopard. It uses the SIL3132 chipset I think, and although the driver is only for Tiger, it works for me in Leopard.
I have the 1TB drive in an external enclosure and it's been fine so far. It remains to be seen just how unreliable they are, but I've had a Samsung HD in my MBP for the past 6 months and I've been extremely happy with it. It's quiet and fast and hasn't given me any problems.
