    Snow/ice running - recommended devices?

Yaktrax rock. I also have used 1/2" sheet metal screws. Just screw them into edges of the midsole of a 2/3 worn out shoe (non-Nike or the air will pop) and the hex head grabs when I need it.

    Need running shoes...

Getting back on track here... The ones I'd suggest to you are the New Balance 905 (in 2E) or Nike Lunarglides (regular D width). Although the Lunars don't come in wide, they are a pretty wide shoe to start with. I'd caution you from going to a lightweight trainer at all if you need extra...

    Need running shoes...

Sorry, here you go. I'm not doing your homework all night. Here's 4 others with 4 widths. New Balance may have more models with 4 widths (their fit tends to be awkward enough to require it), but the point is that every manufacturer has an abundance of widths available and you just need to ask...

    Calf injury

You may also want to look into a compression sock like Oxysox or Sugoi makes one as well. They help to keep better blood flow in the calves and reduce residual affects of fatigue and tightness. You'll think they're dorky at first, but you'll become convinced after using them.

    Need running shoes...

Really? Please do tell me a little about your position in running specialty footwear. You've obviously got a stellar resume to call BS and put yourself on such a high horse. See my previous post and then tell me which manufacturer you want me to get you wide widths for. I work with the...

    Need running shoes...

Here, my ass is talking I guess. One from each manufacturer is all I am posting as "proof." I mean, I just do this every day for every customer, so you'd OBVIOUSLY know better than me. Next time, don't call bull on someone who is trying to help when you are the pupil and he is the teacher...

    Need running shoes...

You have false perceptions of brands based on 1985 knowledge and experience. Every manufacturer makes shoes in widths now (and has since about 1995) and can serve virtually every foot type from flat-severe overpronator to high arch supinator and everywhere in between. You'll surprise yourself...

    Need running shoes...

Go to the Track Shack. They're a great group of people in there and needless to say, they see a lot of feet. I work at a running store out in MI and can tell you that these guys are good. They've been going pretty well in Central FL for several years now and are part of the 50 best shops in...

    Chrome - anyone using it?

I am using Chrome right now as my primary. I didn't like it at first, but it's really grown on me. Now, I love it. Most of the plugins are becoming available now, so compatibility is great. I still have firefox as a backup, but haven't needed it for weeks.

Jennifer Granholm -- Michigan governor -- why so popular with the Democratic Party?

You act like Blagojagoff has an office in Springfield. You'd be wrong in thinking that as he never moved from Chicago. I really don't like him for costing me more money to fly people to Chicago from Springfield any time they want to meet with him.

So will the democrats finally win one?

The trouble with Obama isn't the support. It is getting that support to show up on November 4th.

    Idiot Runner.

I was at the race working with the elite athlete coordinator and race director all weekend. I talked with both of them privately about the situation and we all (I am an elite athlete myself) agreed that this is athlete's error. I'll tell you this, when there is even so much as $100 on the line...

    Why was Bush re-elected?

I voted for Bush not once, but twice. I have to say that both times I've gotten to vote for a president, I've had to choose the "lesser of 2 evils" approach. Honestly, I wouldn't have minded Gore in 2000 (before he went hyper-environmental), but I definitely couldn't stand Kerry's pomp...

10 Cars that can last to 200k Miles

CR has always hated American cars though. This doesn't surprise me one bit. I've had 3 Fords over 200k. One of those went over 300k. All were fine on regular maintenance. 1992 Taurus 1995 Thunderbird 2003 Taurus I'm driving a Saturn now and know it'll make it there too. It has to do more...

Mine: Want to go out for a beer? I'll buy first round. I bet he's a riot to drink with, but he is a horrible communicator in formal speech. I'd bet that having that beer with him would make him appear exactly as he is, himself: a casual guy in a formal situation.

    Iran and the US..allies?

I'm so glad somebody else beat me to it. Also, people need to remember that Israel is already the red-headed stepchild of the middle-east. If they were to go indiscriminately blowing the snot out of any other countries in the region, they really can't go down from where they're at on the...

The rich have too much money? Whats the solution?

For the most part, poor people are poor because they make poor choices. Give them more money and they'll be poor again in no time. I would not cap wealth at any expense.

Electronic throttle vs. cable throttle (cars)

My Jeep has cable too. I don't have a problem with it 99% of the time. I drove my brother's Malibu to Cleveland (from Chicago) last week and I loved the DBW. It was smoother, faster, and I had nothing to complain about. I really liked the Malibu's ride in general. That along with getting over...

How many of those who complain about war have served?

I'd like to point out that Bush has served 5 years as Commander in Chief. Have any current Democrats?

How many of those who complain about war have served?

Why is that in any way significant to anything? And I think we saw in the last election who still has a majority of America. I don't love Bush, but both of his opponents were horendous. The Dems belonged in power after the last election, but chose an unelectable candidate.

How many of those who complain about war have served?

I'm basically with you. I think though that now that we're burried as deep as we are, it's out duty to finish it the right way. We will have a lot of mending to do and it will take a long time, but this isn't about a popularity contest. It is about world security. In my opinion, the only reason...

How many of those who complain about war have served?

It won't happen as long as the elites are signing the paycheck and providing benefits to the family. In terms of competing with illegals, no. Most of the military are trained in specific trades of some sort of join trades afterward. I have seen more people turned into successes from the military...

Not flamebait, honest inquiry. The results are about what I expected too. Try asking the same thing on a Jeeps board or gun board (many of which I am also a part of) and you'll see almost the exact opposite if what you see here. I just find it interesting how groups separate by hobby and many in...

How many of those who complain about war have served?

Likewise, I tried to enlist, but due to partial deafness I can't be accepted. I am a firm believer in earning anything I have, so I do my part to work with the military through what I do. I don't think you should HAVE to serve either, but certain things would be more appreciated if you had to do...

If Democrats take back both houses in 2006

I said it last election, if the dems had Lieberman or a small handfull of others, they'd have won. Hell, I'd have voted against Bush in the drop of a hat. Kerry, as with Gore, was simply unelectable.

How many of those who complain about war have served?

What branch and where? Just curious about some AT soldiers' backgrounds in the military. Do you find it frustrating when people make false claims as though they have gone and experienced what you have?

How many of those who complain about war have served?

No, but thanks for puting words into my mouth. I was asking a question, you were assuming things that weren't said. I just think that people who have worked toward a cause have stronger convictions for it. It is often all too evident those who take their neighbor's work for granted.

How many of those who complain about war have served?

I see a lot of whining. But as a relative moderate who leans slight right, I feel like some of you whine without foundation. I want to know how many of YOU have served in Iraq. I want to know how many of you served at all.

Check this out: "The Truth about Trucks" Ford F-150 vs the competition

Or they are contractors who need a real truck that can take a beating day in and day out. The F-150, 250 and up are great workhorses and most of the people I know with them are laborers. Maybe it's our demographics speaking here, but you seem to refer more to the urban truckers. For workers...
