thanks for the tip..ive read stories about mobo's going bad cause of plugging 2 cpu fans into 1 socket. thats way i had to ask.
wouldnt plugging that other fan directly to the PSU would give it a different "speed" than the one plugged directly into the cpu_fan which is controlled by the bios...
so i just finished building my rig and im in the process of adding an additional fan on my 212+. i have this motherboard:

hi..just a lurker and a fellow 1st time builder here..just wanna mention that i have the same exact RAM except in graphite/black. bought it from frys 2 days ago and it came with a $20 rebate.. might wanna check it out if u have a frys close by..but it could be YMMV though.
tnx for the imput mfenn.
how big of a difference is a DDR3 1333mhz from a DDR3 1600 mhz RAM? would that make a huge difference when gaming comes into play?
1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
*GAMING* - id really like to max out bf3 and upcoming diablo 3 as much as possible.
2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
*800-900*
3. What...
my dad needs a computer upgrade from his 4 yr. dell desktop. hell mostly use this for basic computer stuff such as surfing. e mail. some simple word processing. nothing heavy.. budget is at $300 after tax ( i know, he is cheap).
he wont be needing a monitor/mouse & keyboard. thanks for the...
ugh..good thing u mentioned that but i have no way of testing the parts that im about to get since its only bits and pieces of the whole build..tnx for the input
tnx for the help..but the GPU link u gave me is the HDD one.
also, i found a cpu/mobo combo thats a lil cheaper than what u provided me.can u check it out and tell me what the difference is? tnx

i knw that but i was thinking of the time between now until end of nov.
since i only need CPU/MOBO/HDD(ssd) and GPU. i cant really give u a price range for the build. im just looking around for the cheapest buy for these parts that i need. those cpu/mobo, cpu/ram combos could make me save too.
1. ill be using this build for 90% gaming and 10% web surfing.
2. right now im only looking at CPU/MOBO/HDD(ssd) and GPU purchases specifically(check #9 why)
3. USA, the rest ill be buying it in philippines unless something comes up that will save me more $$$.
4. just intel and nvidia...

im looking for a good portable printer for my laptop which i would use widely for text document printouts. should be small enough fit in a travel bag. and ink should last long enough for me not to say "Daaaaaang". budget is around 150. though 200 would be stretching it. thanks guys.
hmmm weird. i clicked on the wrench thing and the only checkbox that i have is "mute internal speaker, when rear panel has been set (plug in) to output device".which means if i plug in my headphones my laptop speakers doesnt make sounds. problem still persists.
need help on how to turn this madness off.
well, everytime i plug in my heaphone jack onto the receiver the realtek software pops out and asks me to to choose what kind of device i plugged in (line in/mic in/heaphone/line out/spdif out). this really gets annoying cause everytime i plug it in...
