    Q9300 'Yorkfield' Vs Q6600 Vs Q6700 "Kent"

I would go with the Q9450. Not the best for your mobo, but when you upgrade mobo you'll wish you had. Mulitiplier won't be a problem with newer X38, X48, or P45 MOBO. You can hit 3.4GHz to 3.6GHz on a P35 mobo. You can get Q9450 @ MIcro Center on sale for $279.99 (usually $299.99) Hard to...

Intel Core2Duo/Quad VID rating, validating using CoreTemp?

Your VID is 1.1375, your VID doesn't change. CoreTemp & RealTemp will show your VID. CPU-Z shows the voltage of the CPU depending on load.

    Judge my overclock

My Vdroop is usually about .016 t o.032. I would run CPU fan at max when under a heavy load, but it will probably be fine.

    Q9450 Temps

95c TJ Max seems low. I would feel safer in the middle at 100c. The distance to TJ Max is the same no matter what the TJ Max is set to, so I guess above 30-35 distance to TJ Max would be better way to measure since it doesn't change.

    E8200 and Budget board

    You would have a better chance spending $15 more on E8400. E8200 500fsb x 8 = 4.0GHz E8400 444fsb x 9 = 4.0GHz
