Cisco NAC Agent and Windows 7

I'm running Cisco Clean Access Agent 4.1.10.0 on Windows 7 without a problem. It runs when I log onto a Cisco Any Connect VPN Client. The only property change I made was to select "run as administrator." I do not have it in compatibility mode. I hope this helps you.

    motherboard recommendations

You might look at the Gigabyte EP45-UD3R. It has 2 RAID controllers on-board. One is intel ICH10R, and the other they call "Gigabyte RAID" but it is another RAID controller. There are a total of 8 SATA, so you could have one RAID setup for your boot drive, and another in redundancy for data...

Time to buy a new mobo/processor!

I recently bought the Gigabyte EP45-UD3R and I agree it is a great board. I have an E7200 which runs very cool 27c at idle 36c with load with stock fan, not OC'd. THis mb has lots of features and is very reasonably priced. There is an upgraded version, UD3P, that has 2 PCIe graphics slots and 2...

I had the same problem with my Intel DG965 board. Corsair XMS2 6400 @ gig kit was incompatible. Initially it booted, but after benchmarking it would not POST. Tech support at Corsair said to use Value RAM 667 1.8v until they come out with their Value RAM 800 1.8v. There are very few DDR2 800...

    RE-Installing CPU

I had to RMA my Intel DG965 MB, so I removed my E6600 C2D cpu and stock Intel HSF. The cpu was only on the MB for a day. Both the cpu and heatsink now have a thin layer of the original compound. When the replacement mb arrives, can I just reinstall the cpu and HSF, or do I need to clean off...

What 1.8V DDR2 RAM for Intel P965 board??

I have an Intel DG965 mb and 2 gigs of Corsair XMS2-6400 DDR2-800. The machine booted and ran fine. I do have concerns that the Intel website specifies 1.8v RAM. The Corsair site says the modules "are tested" at 1.9v. That does not necessarily mean they won't work at 1.8v. By testing at 1.9v...

    New build not working

Thanks Hauntfox. I tried clearing the CMOS with the jumper, but no luck. I agree the MB probably went bad and I will RMA it. Even if I got it working now I would not trust it. It just seems strange that it stopped working after running fine for 6 hrs.

BF $199 19" LCD @ staples. Samsung 914v, is this LCD any good?

I bought one of these 914V monitors at Staples for $199. It is an excellent analog monitor, for routine office purposes. If you need DVI, don't buy this monitor. From what I can tell from Samsung.com there is no difference between the 913V and the 914V specs. The picture is bright, with...

The Proper Way To Change A Heatsink ?

If you are using a socket 478 P4 cpu, the cpu is held in the socket by a locking arm. When the HSF is removed, the cpu should remain in the socket, since you can't really release the locking arm when the HSF is in place.

Ok...I thought I knew about memory overclocking - experts chime in.

Intel chipsets like the ratio at 1:1. I think Via chipsets are less fussy. However, 5:4 is not a lot different than 1:1. As you increase the cpu fsb above 215 with an Intel chipset (like i865) you may need to switch from 1:1 to 5:4 to keep the ram stable. That's one reason to use 3500 or 3700...
