How to wirelessly connect my XBox to network?

Look under the router. In the model number it will say "WRT54G v#". For example, mine says "WRT54G v4". They go from v1-8. If you have anything from 1-4 you can use full DD-WRT or Tomato. If you have anything after 4 you have to use Micro DD-WRT because these versions have less flash memory...

How to wirelessly connect my XBox to network?

I recommend Tomato instead of DD-WRT. DD-WRT has a ridiculous amount of features, but Tomato is more lightweight and easier to use if you're just using the router as a wireless client. http://www.polarcloud.com/tomato

Compaq F557US Turns on and off, No image on monitor

I have a Compaq F557US laptop (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfr...oduct=3370444&dlc=en&). I had been letting my brother use the laptop for himself. About two months ago he spilled soda on the laptop and, not being very smart, he continued to use it after trying to shake out the liquid out of it...

Connecting my computer to an old TV

I have a Nvidia 8800 GTS video card on my computer. I want to connect it to my Sony Trinitron TV which only has a composite video in (yellow RCA cable). My video card has S-Video and DVI out. Would it be better to use an S-Video to Composite cable, DVI to Composite cable, or something else?

    Video Card for Old Computer

This is the machine: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/prod...349_div/11349_div.HTML (the first one) Even if I could disassemble it, get the motherboard out, and use a new case (and new power supply), I don't think the hassle and especially the price is worth it just to use a full size AGP card...

    Video Card for Old Computer

I don't think that would work because this motherboard is very specific to this case. It is a pre-built Compaq, so it's not just a regular Micro ATX motherboard. It's not low profile, but it can be adapted with a cheap $5 adapter they sell on that same Amazon page. If you look at this...

    Video Card for Old Computer

How is that card better? Based on my limited knowledge, the one I linked to looks better. Comparison: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...&bop=And&Order=REVIEWS That one isn't low profile and it looks like it can't be adapted. My monitor supports DVI and I could just use an adapter if I...

    Video Card for Old Computer

My computer is an old crappy Pentium 4 machine. It is a small form factor computer and only takes low profile AGP cards. It currently has this video card that came with it: http://i28.tinypic.com/sztlzm.jpg I've been looking into video cards I can upgrade with. So far the best I've found...

I Need Some Help Deciding on a Case

I should have read your comment earlier. I bought a Zalman fan and heatsink for my current Pentium D yesterday. This one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16835118223 Is it bad compared to the Scythe Ninja or just overpriced? Anyone else recommend the Scythe Ninja or something else? I...

I Need Some Help Deciding on a Case

Dang now I'm split between the Centurion and the P182. The P182 has more features and it would probably be quieter, but I don't know if it's worth the extra $90. I guess now it's up to me, but I was wondering if there's something I might be missing that would make me go one way or another.

I Need Some Help Deciding on a Case

Yes, I realize this. I probably should have written the I need a case that is oriented towards quietness. The biggest source of noise is probably the CPU and system fans. Silent was an overstatement. I'll probably just need an aftermarket CPU cooler to keep it acceptably quiet. I have a...

I Need Some Help Deciding on a Case

The main thing I'm looking for in a case is that it be silent and have good ventilation. I'm only gonna have one hard drive, one video card, and one optical drive so I don't need a HUGE case. Also, NO LEDs and nothing too flashy. I want it to look "cool", but nothing too distracting. Just clean...
