When will large (2TB+) ssd disks be affordable?

You may see a price drop when 25nm intel ssd's make their rounds in Q4, but we're talking years upon years upon years until we see ssd's of that size for that cheap. If you look at the pricing and size of drives in the past couple years, things have dropped rather substantially, but I'm going...

SSD Upgrade in the $150 range?

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm not in a hurry, so I guess I'll wait until I see a good deal for an Indilinx based SSD.

SSD Upgrade in the $150 range?

    Hey, I'm looking for a solid SSD OS/app/everquest2 drive in the $150 range. What I'm currently mulling over: $135 after mir: Patriot Warp 64GB http://www.frys.com/product/5710922?...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG $125: Intel X25-V http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Tpk=ssd%2040gb $225: Intel X25-M...

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 Yorkfield 2.5GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor - Retail

Well, there's going to be a new intel cpu coming out this month right at around the 280 price point, right? If so I'd wait, but if you can't wait (like me i'm going for the e8400 because i'm still on a athlon 64 2800+) it's a warm deal.

    4870 X2 for $412 at Best Buy

Well my 360 has a lot of good games, actually. I've been kept quite busy with it, was pleasantly surprised... However, I want to get back into PC gaming. Hopefully Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 can revitalize things. The way hardware has been dropping in price, I'm not sure if I want to upgrade now...

Working on a budget gaming build

newegg's s&h is per product... however, once again, they've upped the price of items I was going to buy after having posted here. It'd cost me an extra 100 dollars to buy that system I listed above now. I'm actually thinking of waiting until black friday to build. Both times I've properly...

If only newegg didn't have $9 shipping for that board ;\ ~ basically makes it 110 (gigabyte) or 120 (asus p5q) which has free shipping.

Working on a budget gaming build

Well, newegg slapped me upside the head, and said "NO!" as they raised the price on their gtx260/psu combo by about 100 bucks (weird, yes)... so with some tweaking, here's my final 2.0 build: CASE/CPU: Antec Twelve Hundred + e8400 combo (294.98) PSU: Antec earthwatts EA500 500W ATX12V v2.0...

Budget Upgrade - Need your help!

Honestly, the items you linked already are good for the price. I'm not sure if your current psu is good enough, maybe someone else can help you some more. Good luck DNB, do a little more research on your own before you click that buy button!

Budget Upgrade - Need your help!

If you're not planning to OC then what you've linked looks pretty decent for the price. Not sure about the mobo. If you want to OC I'd go with an Intel cpu/mobo, if you don't mind forking a little more over.

Budget Upgrade - Need your help!

The AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz CPU you linked. I'm not sure what mobo you have linked, is that the mobo you currently own? It's showing a broken link at newegg. http://www.giga-byte.com.tw/Su...el.aspx?ProductID=1928 doesn't show the AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ as being supported by your...

Here's the other ram I was talking about: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820227248 I'm undecided on whether I want to use XP, or Vista. If I go Vista I'd probably go for the 64bit version, but not quite sure. *Searches for a mobo*

Memory I'm looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820227280 (47.99 after 30mir). They also have pc6400 memory for 5 bucks cheaper.

New System Build, Please Help. TY!

Also, that 650watt psu is awesome, it has 3 12v rails with 19amps each; here are the stats: +3.3V@24A,+5V@24A,+12V1@19A,+12V2@19A,+12V3@19A,-12V@0.8A,+5VSB@3.0A Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that PSU is plenty for an SLI and OC'D Intel C2D rig.

Budget Upgrade - Need your help!

Honestly, I'd switch that 6000+ with an e7200, if you're going to oc (you'd have to switch to an intel board as well). The link to ram shows nothing either...but you should get 4gb ram since it's so cheap. OCZ 4gb 2x2gb packages have a 30 mir making a lot of them in the 40 range after mir for...

    Antec 1200 -- $150 or $142.50 w/ coupon + FS *Starts 9-22at 12 AM PST*

Not bad if you're just in for the case, but if you're looking to put a whole system together, you can get an e8400 + Antec Twelve Hundred combo at newegg for $294.98 (free shipping). If you subtract the 169.99 for the e8400 from that, then you'd be getting the Antec Twelve Hundred for 124.01.

    E8500 CPU/MB combo @ Frys for 179.99

In today's add Frys is running the E8500 with ECS (G31T-M; not the greatest mobo) motherboard for 179.99. The CPU alone goes for 189.99 on newegg. I was looking up reviews for the G31T-M and it seems somewhat iffy for gaming. Otherwise, seems like a good deal to me. Link...
