I just got one and it says on my box speed is 500rpm to 1500 rpm and mine is running at 1440 and that is all it runs at will go lower but no higher. Some one said they changed the fan on the newer models is this yur problem.
I love my Zalman 9700 and 9500 have 2 of each always on low in fan speed and keep the cpu cool but would try the new Scorpian X HDT-RS1283 120mm CPU Cooler if had to due a new build in the future also they are up over 2 years.
