I'm using an EP35-DS3L and an E8400.
For about 2 months now, I've had my proc running at 4.005 ghz (445 * 9) stable at 1.25v.
After I had my computer shut off for about 8 hours or so today, the clocks reverted to (333 * 9) and default voltages, and no matter what I do I cannot get any...
Intel P4 @ 2.4 in an ASUS P4PE w/ 512mb ram, radeon 7000, and a 120gb HD. Runs linux and does fine at web-surfing and word-processing.
I guess you could technically count my voice mail system (old DOS Amanda)

Fan is on top.
I have a similar model (The GameXStream) and it is fine on the bottom of the case.
The Eee!
I really would expect something like this on April 1st-
Just the fact that they are so enthusiastic about it being "First-of-its-kind" is enough to make me laugh.
The Gigabyte EP35-DS3L (http://www.newegg.com/Product/...?Item=N82E16813128337) seems to be the popular choice these days.
I used it in my most recent build (E8400 CPU) and I'm very happy with it.
Do you have the latest BIOS?

If your board is Rev 3.3 it looks like it should support the E8500 with a newer BIOS.
Soldier of Fortune II has managed to keep my attention for 6+ years now.
As for single player, I would have to say Fable. I don't want to say how many times I've played through that game.
Just built my new rig:
Gigabyte EP35-DS3L
E8400
G.Skill 4gb (2x2) ddr2 800
BIOS only sees 2gb.
Reset CMOS, reseated the sticks, set the timings manually, nothing helps.
Any suggestions?
Going to be ordering this later tonight from NewEgg, just posting for a quick check-over on the main components for any glaring issues.

I haven't really seen any topics on the subject so I figured I'd ask-
Is there a noticeable performance increase between regular PCI-Eand PCI-E 2.0?
I'm going to be building a new rig with a 9800GTX and wondering if I should be looking specifically for a board that has 2.0. I know it's...
Not necessarily adding stuff to this rig, but something I can take along to future builds (As I will definitely be building a higher-end Nehalem machine.)
The price difference isn't so much to warrant the possibility of having to buy a new one later on.
I have had bad experiences with ATI Cards,
and:
EVGA 9800GTX is $199 on Newegg - http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814130339
Going with a larger PSU now so I have more room to upgrade if needed.
As for the hard drive, I hate WD so sticking with Seagate.
One more thing...
Now that I've decided to not wait for Nehalem, I'm definitely gonna go for a less expensive build that's somewhat upgradeable rather than something big that will be wasted in a year or two.
Right now it's looking like this.
Case: Cooler Master Cosmos -...
Read up on the processor phasing out and it looks like the Q9550 is gonna get a price drop down to 300ish. Gonna go with that for my build.
As for the video card, I'll have to see how it plays out with newer drivers and more users.
I still have a good month or two before my cash rolls in...
Looking to build a new rig after having the same one for 8 years.
