I also don't think sound is limited to human interpretation, but I do think sound is limited to one's interpretation, whether human, rock or otherwise. So I think we sort of agree here.
Here, I don't agree. It seems you're equating a rock to a blind person, but I assume you're talking about...
Vibration is vibration. Sound is what our ears interpret that vibration as. Just my way of thinking of things I guess.
I don't know, if I walk into a wall, even if I have no senses at all the wall is still there. If you keep looking closer and closer at that apple it 'loses' it's color...
Color is an illusion our eyes play on us through our brain.
Our eyes are merely organs which are very good at detecting the differences in bright and dim light sources and more incredibly, the difference in wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation on the order of parts of nano meters.
It's the...
Random question here. Basically the driver writing teams often have to reprogram the GPU to work with 'funky' code from the game? I mean, you can't really say the driver is at fault if the game is spitting out unexpected data to the GPU.
Even if it works on one driver set but not the...
Well it is, in a way. The sensor is on the surface of the card.
So the ambiance is a little hotter right next to the GPU. :)
That's what I think anyhow.

Newegg has the 750GB Western Digital Caviar GP for $60 free shipping. ZZF also has it for same price/free shipping. Unless you live on an island. :/
Maybe about your computer but, it seems if you have a Li-ion battery instead of Ni-Cd the most damage is from heat. Not from frequent recharges as I thought so the 'cool' feature I found might not be so useful.
But, if I'm reading every thing right you should have your battery at about 50%...
Isn't the reason you use x64 is because you have more than 4 GB of RAM?
Doesn't the increased memory address for 64 bit turn 4 GB into ~3.5 GB effectively?
So if you're not using more than ~3.5 GB of RAM you should be using x86 Vista?
Notice the question marks. Just trying to further...
This is all I have to do to solve the same problem.
Turn off computer.
Unplug USB game controller.
Unplug computer, but turn the PSU on.
Hold in the power button for about 5 seconds, 3 times.
Re plug in computer and boot.
Good luck, but I'd try this before invoking the CMOS gods. ;)...
While I agree that doing other things while running Prime is a better stability test unto itself, one should not say they were 12h Prime stable unless that's the only thing running. Because of what Quiksilver said up there and here are some temps that I've seen. When I run small FFTs my temps...
A cool feature I found on my work laptop is you can tell it to only charge the battery when it falls below a certain percent. You can avoid a charge cycle when you just unplug it for a few minutes or when the battery just loses that first 1% it doesn't run the charger when you plug it back in...
I think you need to download and use the Intel Storage Matrix Manager.

EDIT: And I'm an idiot cause I always forget the title after reading the OP.
Well if you have the program I recall it being very user friendly, but...
Check the 6th post in this thread.

Basically after hard gaming check that your Peak is not near your Total Physical RAM amount is how I read it.
I'm using XP 32bit and just a p35c-ds3r, and although I couldn't notice a difference in day to day usage, the ICH9R chip benchmarked about 10% higher using HD Tune after I switched. (I learned one could have a non RAID member disk on the ICH9R, so I moved the RAID up)
Hmmm. I wonder if it...
Did you want DDR/DDR2 or DDR2/DDR3?
I read somewhere (psst, google told me) this is the only board with DDR/DDR2.

I just recently got a 24" with the comp in my sig and I would have to agree with dkcode. Without AA the 8800GTX will still cruise at 1920x1200 above 60 FPS.
I can use 2x in the Witcher and Mass Effect. 4x in GRID, COD4, WiC and my other games which are less demanding, and be in the 35-45...

That exact thing happened to me with the beeping and not posting. It stopped as soon as I replaced my faulty RAM with my backup set. My new RMA Mushkin RAM has been perfect, but I've only got two sticks.
Good luck.
Just free wheeling from what I've read, but would like to learn.
As for partitions on a single (Raid or non-RAID) drive, it's the same as just putting things in different folders...you just get separate drive letters. Accessing a folder or partition takes the same resources/time.
Wouldn't...
I'm can get to 3.4GHz (8x425) on my 6750 with 1.35V.
Actually set to Normal in BIOS because I find EIST/CIE voltage regulation works better.
I jump all the way down to 1.168V from 1.312V on the multi drop. Seems to always stay above 1.2V when I set vcore to 1.35V in BIOS.
Yes to both.
You should be following the directions on page 71. There's lot's of pictures to follow.
First go here and download "Intel ICH9R SATA RAID Driver" I can't remember if running this file will let you build the array right from Windows, or if you have to do it after the post...
I'm not sure what mrfatboy is talking about bmf79 as the last set of pictures look fine to me. Must be that delicious wine!
But with those settings your computer can't boot so the Motherboard is reverting back to the stock settings. That's the computer restarting two times you talk about...
That was very interesting. Sorta reminded me of the old Beast Wars series, with the TriPredicate counsel. Which is a good thing if you ask me. :) Anyway.
Here's some stats with everything set like in my sig, except I'm only running one stick for 2GB right now at 1T.

That's a sweet looking overclock!
Personally I'd stick with the RAM voltage and bump the Vcore.
Great chip to give the sub 1V C1E voltages while stepped down.

Would specific ram types vary the stock voltage? Any chance these boards are smart like that?
That's what I'm seeing. According to wpcoe above it seems like pc2-6400 gets 2 volts to start. Who knows. Sheesh. :)
This whole switching bit sort of makes sense because there is some logic...
@Conjugal Visit and everyone else.
Does your VID change in CoreTemp 0.95.4 when you speedstep down and what does it drop to?
Mine goes from 1.3500V to 1.1875V.
@wpcoe Good news on the new BIOS voltages for your RAM. :)
Erm, yeah, that's what I meant. Don't forget there is no test button feature now. ;)
Twas on the piss last night (can't believe I just said that) celebrating U of Hawaii's squeaker of a victory.
You're welcome wpcoe. :)

As I recall, since they changed it to do the math for you right there, it doesn't light up anymore.
Yeah, check the OP pics for what it used to look like when only the multiplier was there and did light up.
As for the CPU-Z misreporting I can't explain...
You should see Core Temp 0.95.4 in the title bar. Download here Make sure you grab the Beta version.
I just now noticed in that screenshot that CPU-Z reports the Core Voltage as 1.296V, even though I have it set manually to 1.35v in BIOS
The motherboard is somehow 'losing' (to heat...
I would say that's borderline safe. Some would say that's just fine, some will say too hot. I'd say if you want to run the chip for more than 3 years, get those temps down. EDIT: I just saw you have the Thermalright 120? Sounds like a bad mount. With those voltages I would think it would...
I'd recommend either Everest Home 2.20.405 which does Read, Write, and Latency
or
the Lite version of SANDRA which only does Read (one or the other I believe), and Latency in the free version.
They're both great programs. The SANDRA one is very handy for saving the results of past settings...
