Today I was playing Witcher 2 and all of a sudden my PC made a noise as if the power went out. After that I could not turn the PC on and it seems the motherboard is not getting power. Any ideas what it could be? The power supply seemed hot to me, but I usually don't touch it after gaming...
Update again: I thought of booting to an old harddrive and using my windows vista cd as if to do a fresh install. When Windows Startup starts, my mouse/keyboard work fine.
The question now is: Is this a driver issue now? Is there a way I can fix this issue without a full reformat?
All USB devices but my mouse and keyboard are unplugged. I am now able to use my keyboard to enter the bios. I reset the CMOS and i can now use my keyboard on bootup for either the bios, or for the windows safemode screen. The BIOS reads that both a mouse and keyboard are plugged in. Once i...
Update: Ive tested another USB mouse, that didnt work. I also found an old PS/2 adapter and plugged my keyboard in. That doesn't work either. Any other ideas? This seems highly unusual! I have the Asus P5QE, tried just about every USB slot btw. I think i have 10 of them.
They do not seem to work even at bootup. I cannot press DEL in order to get to bios and I cannot press arrow keys up or down in order to change options when it prompts safemode.
Once in windows, my mouse and keyboard lights shut off and I cannot do anything.
Any ideas? Never had this...
My brother and my father share my brothers computer but the split in pc time isn't working out. My brother bought another harddrive and I clean installed windows on it for his pc. The old harddrive which is also a bootdrive has a lot of my fathers work stuff on it. I planned on taking that...
Thanks Dex. Someone here has to know of a free program that rebuilds your index. I used the program in the past, but I cannot find it. I don't have physical damage to the drive, so my problem just requires rebuilding the index. The data is there, the drive just lost its partition...
Hmm old post , but it seemed to have happened again with another drive I have. I do not remember what program i used to rebuild the index, anyone have any ideas
Actually you cannot "request" in the free stuff forum or the hot deals forum, but thanks for the "obvious" comment. Anyone else able to help out.
Mod if you know of a better forum to move this to, please do.
I didn't know what forum to put this in, since I'm obviously asking for a hot deal but it is not one. These seems like the most general forum on the site.
Well anyway, does anyone know of any free magazine offers right now? My subscription to Road & Track, Car & Driver and Popular Science...
Nice find, and jjm is right. Its definitely not trash if your accountant has been using it for the past 10 years. I'm not an accountant but I think its a pretty good program.
I am going to stop posting in this thread since it seems that a majority of the people in this thread are interested in this projector. I caution you to go to a store where you can see this unit side by side with another unit before you make this purchase.
And by the way, the car analogies...
I am not being conceited in any way. I am trying to keep people who don't know much about projectors from wasting their money on this. Your 700$ is much better spent on a smaller LCD tv imo. After reading my original reply, I probably did not give a good enough explanation because I was...
Ehh, great for someone who just wants a large viewing size. I wouldn't touch this projector with a 200 foot pole. Being a videophile, tvs and especially projectors are just something that I will not buy based on price. The specs on this projector are mediocre at best. While it might be a...
Auto companies make it so your car cannot continue to run for 100 years, do you require them to buy your next car for you? If you have an old analog set, odds are you got it many moons ago. Forget about converter boxes. Pick up a cheap HDTV set that can be had for $500.
Well if you cant afford a digital computer box, you damn well better buy a $5 radio to listen for emergencies. I can't stand socialism. Tough if you cant watch tv. I don't want to pay for you.
A lot of you battery lovers out there always find great deals on great rechargable batteries and chargers. I know nothing about this technology and market, so if you find a deal, please let me know. Between my remote controls and my controllers for my xbox 360, i go through tons. Ive been...
If you use the US dollar as your currency, I can't understand your boundary between "cheap and serious". At $150, you are borderlining the "worthless" A/V equipment area. If this unit does what you need at a $150 price point, then this is a STEAL. If you are an audiophile, you wouldn't buy...
My recent 2.1 setup broke recently and I need a new one. I would like to spend less than 100$, preferably much less. Please tell me what the best bang for the buck is right now.
