Lydia:
I cant for the life of me get any 9800SE video card to be stable on this board.
I thought that the card was stuffed so I took it back to get another one only to have the same problem.
Could you please put one it your test system and try to run 3DMark05 right through all tests and...
Ok guys,
I've been playing around some more and if you wanna get higher try this.
In the Bios in the LTD options change the Upstream & Downstream to 8bit. Change your memory to 166MHz. Start winding up the FSB
I can get alot higher and stable with this and no I dont lose any memory bandwidth...
Im back down at 256x9 so I can get my memory 1:1 but I have lost alot of memory speed now and I cant figer out why.
I changed the memory back to 200MHz timmings are stil 2.5-3-3-6 2.8v but only getting 55xx in SiSoft
Hmmmm.....
Ok I'm priming ATM so I dont wanna reboot but I think I have remembered all of them lol
CPU FSB @ 292 with LTD at 600MHz 1.6vcore (But can go lower with that)
Memory set to 166MHz (2.5-3-3-6 2.8v)
All other voltages at default as they did nothing
Tried AGP Fastwrites off but that didnt...
Rather weird.
I installed my better cooler again but cuz it is so big I moved my memory from 1-2 to 3-4 and I couldnt get anywhere near the clocks I had before.
I tried 1-3 (Single Channel) and still didnt come close.
I put them back in 1-2 (On a bit of a lean resting on the cooler) but I get...
Many a hours tewaking LOL
It now cold boots with the OC still as well. I just changed things one at a time and tested it out. Voltages. LTD at different speeds and what not. Memory chaged to 166MHz and loosin off the timmings to 2.5-3-3-6
The CPU vcore dont make much difference I just put it...
Hahahahaha... I knew this board had more in it LOL
I cant quite get it to do 300FSB but Im not giving up :)
I have it at 289FSB and here is a screen shot
Screen shot
**EDIT** Remember Im still on the stock cooler :( I will be changing that back to my Thermalright XP120 in the next few...
Is anybody here running SATA drives that are raided as there main drive and getting a very high overclock?
dashiki,
Your at 275FSB... what hard drives are you using? or how are you using them?
Thanks for the reply.
I know the CPU can go higher. The other Video card I tested is in good working oder and clocks very well even though I only had it at stock for testing in here. My memory has been knocked down Im not running it 1:1 to get that out of the way.
So all that leaves is my...
Yes it have to have it at 2.8v because that is default for my memory.
I just tried another X800XT video card in my system and the same thing happens when I get into high FSB. I get errors to do with the Video Card. I DO NOT think the AGP lock is working at this high FSB can you please check...
Why cant I do a cold boot when I have it set to my clocked settings?
It runs there fine and can use it all day but once it is shutdown and I try to turn it on the next morning it sets itself back to 200FSB its a pain in the butt :(
Thanks alot guys.
Im stable at 270 but anything higher its not so I will go and try it now :)
And thanks for the OCZ update :)
*Edit... I cant change the AGP in the bios, it has 8X but I cant highlight it to change it?
Well im stable but my video card thats not clocked keeps giving VPU errors when trying to do anything 3D :(
Do the locks on the board stop work when you get to high?
1.7v wow!
Im at 1.5v now 278FSB 2.5GHz stable... well its been Priming for awhile and its still priming now :)
One thing I had a problem with is last night everything was great was gamming for hours at 270fsb and I finnaly went to bed so I turned the computer off but when I turned it on...
d3birth, I have my 3000+ now running the same as you and knocked my memory down to 220 as well.
What vcore are you running and are you using the stock cooler?
Thanks for the reply. From what I can see there is only one kind of DDR Booster. I havent brought it yet just in case it does not work :(

Lydia: I've been asking around everywhere just trying to find out if a OCZ DDR Booster will work on this board.
It's not on the OCZ website, I have emailed them and they told me just to ask around some more :(
So does anybody know if it works? and if it does what slot at what voltage...
I cant find anywhere that has Winchester here.
ALL 3000+ are out of stock, 3200+ just gone out of stock, 3500+ there are a few left but all NewCastle :(
Well I had to get another 3500+ because there was nothing else around anywhere :(
Turned out to be another damn NewCastle and the clocks are just the same, BAD
Going to try again next week to see if I can buy another CPU (grrrrrr)
Yeah I did drop the Memory just to take it out of the picture and it didnt work.
I sold the CPU last night and another one is about to be ordered. I might try another 3200+
Well I tried and it didnt work :(
Even 250x9 that is only 50MHz over stock and it still wouldnt post :(
I'm just trying 232x11 now to see if thats stable
Yeah it is hit or miss. After trying 3 CPUs I have to say its the board :(
Maybe your right and the KD version is better but for now I'm staying with it untill I can change all my parts at once.
