Thats the first thing i did when this problem first came up.
Its been about a year since my last reformat so i'm going to be reformating soon. Hopefully that will clean up all the little quirks i have been running in to lately.
well that solves the problem of it taking over my computer but now i can't full screen a movie on the TV and a game on the monitor. The only opions i had were disable and auto on the menu that you sent me to.
I guess its back to where it was before i found the play on tv option but now that...
yeah it confuses me too. I'm hoping they will choose to document the feature with their next software release. Until then the WIN key +L is a good solution. it leaves every program running and just requires me to putin my password again which isn't that big of a deal and i get my desktop back...
Well, I found a temporary fix to this problem. When ever WMP decides to go nazi on my computer the win Key+ L still gets me back to the log in screen. At least its not a full restart.
yeah i can just open other windows over it but i have formed the habbit of minimizing everything almost constantly. I actually disabled the Nview hotkey i had set for it so that I wouldn't do it all the freaking time. keeping my desktop uncluttered is just kind of a habbit.

The Tv is just there for media viewing. So no i don't read stuff off of it but i could if i really wanted to its a 32in TV and handles 600x800 nicely.

I have a 6800 ultra and a few days ago i noticed the play on my tv option. It works great becasue it stays full screened on my Tv while I do other things on my monitor but if i ever hit minimixe on the player ( either vlc or WMP) my moniter gets taken over by the video feed and i can not close...
