My PCMCIA ports on my laptop are dead. The tech rep said it is either a MB or PCMCIA chip problem and would require sending the laptop in for repair. It's a ProStar Celeron 466 laptop and I don't feel it is worth investing the money in for repair.
Is there any serial, usb, ect. external adapter...
I have a Prostar 8500/8250 laptop, 466 Celeron, and it doesn't recognize the PCMCIA ports. Tried Win 98SE and Win 2000 with no luck, PCMCIA doesn't show up in device manager and doesn't recognize any installed PCMCIA cards. Could this be a motherboard problem?:(
