I regularly enjoy the game World of Warcraft. However on this paticular day it froze while playing. I was to say the least very shocked... with the system that i have i am usually able to play at the top settings without much of a problem.

srry ment the p4 agp. should have specified.
let me explain.
i just ordered a new computer from a company, and i WAS getting an
-> ABIT IC7 P4 Intel 875 AGP8X S478
with
->Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz HT, 512K 800FSB Socket 478 Hyper Threading Processor...
i just caught wind of intel discontinuing the p4 motherboard.... for some reason that has to do with switching from agp to pci express....
does anyone know anything about this? i'm just starting to search the web for more news on this...
i ask only now because i am looking to purchase a new computer... or build my own.... i wanted to see what medion had to offer since i am impressed with their laptop... however there is almost no advertisng done by them. and certainly very few reviews
i bought about 4-5 months ago one of their laptops... runs smoothly and looks sweet and almost never had a problem and its always been a well running laptop... never overheats.... and it was damn cheap when i bought it... and it was top of the line...

ones a dvd burner and the other is a cd burner.
i just found on general principle that dvd burners were slower at reading off of regular cds. especially when it comes to installing things. so i opted for both cd burner and a dvd burner.
this way i get the best of both worlds.
this...
ok sorry i left that info out, jus edited it in... here it is again.
budget = 1500$-1800$ CND (i'd like to try and stay under that so i can use the saved money for other things of course, but thats what i have allotted if i must)

If there are any pc building enthusiasts out there, i hope you wont mind assisting me.

looks like the 2 popular ones are
Socket 775 and Socket 478.
whats the differences?? like why is one better then the other or what are advantages of one over another?
i run a laptop, and u can bet that i get that buzz from its intergrated soundcard. and i get little beeps when the harddrive starts up....
from my understanding an electric current runs through the entire motherboard, more so in some places then in others depending on what is using...
so i'm building a new pc... i dont understand the difference between S478, and LGA775 or s604.
can someone explain that to me?? why is one better then the other?
( S478, and LGA775 or s604 are the pins on the proccessor am i correct?)
