Go to Frozen they are having a sale on PSU's. You can get a 400W Fortron for $46 plus FREE CABLE SLEEVING. I picked up a couple to have as spares. They also have some Tt's and Super Flowers on sale as well.
I have not used it... and have read mixed reviews. I would imagine that this falls in line with entry level WC. Probably aimed at quite>cooling. There are a small handfull of reviews out there. Check out Tt's site and under the BWC page there are links.
I say go for it. We need a good Water Cooled sticky. One of the things it should include is good "how to's" that are up to date. A lot of the water cooling tutorials 'round the web are from back in 99 or 00. Not too much has changed about WC it would be nice to talk about current eqt. I would be...
lol don't drag me into this. I feel for the guy I really do. Like I said I am in an almost exact situation where I ordered something, and come to find out after 2 days of no changes to my order, that the item is out and they wont have more until after the first of the year. (that was a monster...
It was an error. You didn't pay for guaranteed delivery so they are not obligated to lose money to get your goods. It's a bummer for sure but that doesn't put the ball in their court to have them something extraordinary. Expecting them to pay for next day shipping is, to me, not needed in this...
I have a 955DF and love it! Samsung is arguably putting out the finest display outputs you can get right now. I am sure someone will disagree but in my testing it doesn't get a whole lot better than Samsung.
Well... I just built a rig 2 nights ago in a Tsunami (which is currently in it's 25th hour of Prime w/ no errors. That makes me feel warm and fuzzy) and it was an ok case. It's not really aluminum. The front bezel is. The side panels and top panel are plasticy and the frame is steel. My pro's...
I just want to state for the record... the Tsunami case.... not aluminum. The front bezel=aluminum. The rest=plastic. I just did a build in one last night. It's pretty, but I would never get one for myself. That?s all I have to say.
I have pics of the system I did last night if anyone is...
Well, I just bought a Silverstone TJ-03 to build my new WC rig in. It's kinda pricy though. LOTS of room with that EATX mobo tray. The case is also longer (than a standard mid or server chassis) which is allowing me to top mount my res and 2x120mm rad.
Really what you wanna do is some...
No I read your whole post... your exact quote is "OK, why not a socalled "noiseless" low-noise PSU? Well they arent noiseless. In a system with no moving parts (like mine, I have my HD watercooled and packaged in a thick layer of noise-dampening material and watercooled everything else), you...
Ok I gotta call BS to the statement above. How do you have a PC with no moving parts? Have you created a HD where the spindle does not spin? The fans on your rad do not spin? If you are using a convection rad then that is understandable but you didn't specify. Your water pump humms. I guarantee...
I just ordered a Silverstone TJ-03. It's a bit pricy retail ($300) but it is an amazing case. I am using it to house my new water cooling system. It's a beautiful case and a pleasure to work in. Very very roomy and just an exceptional build quality. Not for everyone though because of the price...
I am a system builder and I would be more than happy to build you an SLI set up. It wont ship until mid to late December (depending on the Motherboard vendors) but then again neither will AW or Falcon or any of them. My SLI set ups are dual water cooled and yes I run water to BOTH GPU's as well...
Essasin my primary Rad will be 2x 120 my xecondary is going to be 2x 80mm.
Trout - man that just sounds like it stings... I will see if I can find them. Arent the screws on the clamps standard threads? Couldn't I swap out the screws??
I am going to start acquiring the parts in the next...
Jumpem... why do you feel you are entitled to return a game you did not enjoy? Do you also feel that a theatre should return your money if you did not like the movie? That?s asinine as is your logic. No retailer should HAVE to refund you for YOU not enjoying a product THEY have no control over...
Ok Here are the components for my next water cooling project. Let me know what you all think!!
Case - Silverstone Temjin TJ-03
Primary Rad - Airplex Evo 240 w/ 10mm barbs
Rad External Housing - Airplex Evo External Housing
120mm fan - Panaflo M1A fan x2 $26.00
Secondary Rad - DD...
Zinn who do you work for? I wanna know so I can avoid purchasing products from a vendor that employees complete idiots to build their systems. The level of ineptitude you spew forth is incredible. In fact I am going to go so far as to say you have never built a system in your life. You wouldn't...
The prices on the 6600GT's will be high for a while. I would say mid December they will go down. They are hot right now. Give it time and the price will go down to $200. I am glad to see XFX right out of the gate. I have an XFX 6800GT and have been using XFX in builds for months now. LOVE LOVE...
/sigh. Lets just stick to the topic. Which would be PSU's for a heavy duty system. If you want to banter then we can set an appointment.
EDIT: HAHAH I suck man. I got you and Gamingkid mixed up. My sincerest apologies. Carry on now. I take back everything I said. Tee hee.
I understand. Have you checked out the innovatek (sp) It's supposed to be a good block and it runs the coolant over the ram sinks too. I think it's A LOT cheaper as well.
After much deliberation and many nights of no sleep I have reached a decision. I will be getting the Silverstone TJ-03.
So yeah. That?s it. I am hoping to have everything done shortly after the first of the year. I am still trying to stomach the cost of the case and also having Smooth paint...
I have never used a T-line but from what I hear it can take days (maybe even weeks) to fully bleed. Imatrout uses a T. I am sure he will pop in and be able to answer your question.
Simmer down chief... I'm not out to get you. The only reason I brought up the ban gamingphreek thread is because I remember seeing it. I don't know Felix nor have I had any run-ins with him. You may be right about him. I don't know. I do know you can be an asshat as you are being now.
I did...
Save up and get a 6800GT like you wanted to from the start. Also how much are the gift cards for... if thats making the bulk of your cost then save some cash till you can pay the difference. If you had your heart set on GT getting anything less and you will be dissapointed. At least thats how I am.
if copper was so expensive you would think a penny would be worth more.... Anyway the DD block is pretty good. I don't believe it covers the ram sinks. Which isn't a huge deal. But for the price you would think it would offer a complete cooling solution.
I never said you should be scared. There is another thread about banning you I saw a few weeks ago... It's not worth looking up. I wanted to give you a heads up though. Also I just like to make sure the playing field is level. For any one (1) person you try and discredit there is at least one...
"definitely" not enough power "probably" do wha?
350 should be fine. I run my 6800Gt on an Vantec Ion which is 350 watt. We need some more specs between the 2 systems. Also when you say it "doesn't run" what is, or isn't, it doing?
My current system is a hair over 2k. I will be updating soon... but my new case alone will be worth over 1k. Tee hee.... Still trying to stomach that one. Who needs crack... I'm addicted to upgrading my PC!
They "look" like Hybrid. I can't imagine they would spend the kind of money that is needed to get a V1100 series shell with the 7 or 8 series interior. I may very well be wrong but it doesn't benfit Lian Li to give them away for dirt cheap since their is no brand markings on the cases and they...
no no no... I do not want a VM or Voodoo case. I want to know what case they are using. I like the Lian Li cases but the cases VM and Voodoo are using can not be found. They look like hybrid cases.
Ok so no prize.... but I do have a boggle. I am still trying to pick a case I will mod for water cooling. I really like the cases Voodoo and Velocity are using, but I can't pin point what case they are egg zack lee.
Velocity Micro
Voodoo
Now I know they are both Lian Li but can't...
hahaha he/she sounds like me. (Akira34 that is ) Except without the pizazz....and it's a little dry for my taste. The whole "Dell" "Dull" thing was kinda funny. Overall I give it a 6/10.
