It is possible to register an account and sign up to be considered for testing. I couldn't do it all at once though. Create the account first, then sign up to be a tester. I had to do that in multiple stages too. Once signed in, if you go to My Account near the bottom is the status of your...
You could also check out Personal Video Database. Link
It can fetch movie info and/or cover art from several different sources, many of them from outside the US.
Doesn't hurt that it's free too.
According to wikipedia
The pros/cons of the H-IPS over the S-IPS:
Pros:
* Much less backlight bleed.
* No purple hue visible at an angle
* Backlight bleed improves looking at an angle
* Less noise or glitter seen on the panel surface (smoother surface)
Cons...
Even easier than that. Just have to give the stock a price of less than $.01
09-20-2007 (Thu) Dividend (CHEAP1) +$10000000.00
Holy crap!
My shares of Exploit disappeared, though it also increased so somebody else just got rich.
What voltage are you giving the RAM to run at 1T? And are you still running the Crucial 10th Anniversary sticks on that board? I'd like to get mine running at 1T, but would like some idea of where to start. I'd be happy even with 4-4-4 1T if that would take less volts.
It seems that the memory failure is not specific to the 680i boards. It happens on any chipset when running the memory at 2.4v or higher for extended periods.

I am assuming the OP is talking about the 4 little screws that attach the mounting brackets to the heatsink. They are in the little bag on the right in this picture http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/026/scnj1100p-acc.html
The universal retention kit does not include those. It has screws...
The Ninja Rev B has a pretty crappy mounting system. The push pins don't always give you enough pressure for good contact. Try pushing on the top of the heatsink and see if temps go down. I was seeing 50C idle on my 6400 until I pushed a little, then temps dropped to 38C or so. I ended up...
I got a P150 from Antec B-Stock. I couldn't find a single scratch on it, looked new to me. I'm sure this isn't always the case, and I have heard that they don't always ship in the original box. I haven't seen any reports of people being horribly dissatisfied.
There is no open pvp. There is PvMP, player versus monster player. It all takes place in the Ettenmoors, which is completely isolated from the other regions. Once you reach level 10 as a player you have the option to create a monster player (actually up to 5 of them per server). Orcs, wargs...
The RAM should be capable of doing 500FSB at 4-4-4-9. That is what I am running mine at, though that is with a 680i motherboard. But the RAM itself is capable of those settings. I think this is at 2.2v also, might be 2.3v.
I would agree with loosening the timings for testing though. Once...
I'd have to say HostPC support is nonexistant. I sent them a few presale questions 3-4 days ago and have yet to hear anything back. Supposedly they started offering ssh access, but I also see they've stopped that for now, but it is still showing as available on their site. Wanted to clear...
As long as the heatpipe is wicked it shouldn't matter if it is inverted or not. I know the reference 680i board mentions it uses wicked heatpipes, don't know about the Asus board though.
I replaced the stock goop with arctic silver. I never tried running it with the stock stuff, so I don't know if it helped or not. If it did, I'm guessing not by more than a couple degrees based off what I've seen reported by others.
I found the mcp fan to be too loud even at 50% so I have a...
If you value silence I'd take a look at the Scythe Ninja. You can get it for $40 or so. I got mine from jab-tech. I have my E6400 at 3.2 currently and hit just about 60C at full load. Haven't had a chance to fine tune it yet though. I still need to try lowering the vcore a bit more, at 1.41...
Depending on your setup the Ninja may not even need a fan. In a lot of cases it sits just in front of the rear fan which can provide enough airflow in a lot of situations. Check out the forums at Sinlent PC Review, lots of people running this way.
I'm getting the same thing. Someone in the Hot Deals thread got it working by uninstalling KB917422. Since that is a critical security update I'm not going to be trying it.
You can cut the solid corners of the fans as seen here http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?t=18368.
These fans are made by the same company that makes the Nexus fans. The actual Nexus fans run at a lower rpm at the default 12v. See...
I haven't had MS Office installed on my current machine in several years now. OpenOffice works perfectly for everything I do. Some spreadsheets, the occasional text document and some html from the spreadsheets as well. Haven't found any reason I need MS Office yet.
