I'm impressed and surprised as well! :^) - but very happy and relieved this is the cause!! Have put a normal mouse on her pc now and everything is working great!

I turned my pc off and the problem continued when I typed on my keyboard - so it is definitely a wireless keyboar/dmouse problem - i just need to wor kout how to change the signal now.
yes I am and have now figured out that that was the problem - my mum has a wireless mouse and my keyboard signal seems to be the same as her mouse...strange this problem's only just occurred. Do you know how I change the signal on one of our machines to stop this happening?
just had a thought. I'm using a wireless keyboard and mouse (both microsoft). Mum uses a microsoft wireless mouse. Even though she is on the other side of the house, is it possible that my keyboard is making a signal with her PC?
I have installed zone alarm on both machines but it's still happening - anyone got any other ideas what could be causing this?

Signal is on the weak side. WAP is in room next to mine (approx 3 metres away). My mum's computer is on the opposite side of the house.
We've had wireless for a year and never had this issue before.
I am using EZ Antivirus 7.0.5.3, my mother uses Norton Anti-Virus 9.05.15
