Just in time... Looks like the deal is officially dead.
"The AMD/Microsoft Tech Tour 2005 Desktop and Server Promotional Bundles are now sold out and no longer available. If you have already purchased a bundle through this site, your bundle will be available for pick up the day of the...
If your drive shipped without the jumper, that's the default and it means that SSC is off. If you jumper the pins, that will turn SSC on. If the drive shipped with the jumper, that means that removing it will enable SSC. Dumbest thing I've seen in awhile...
Price went up to $82 shipped before my eyes for the beige bare drive...
Also, the pics for the w/software version shows a Roxio Easy Media Creator Basic DVD.
This is a 4:3 set, though, right? That's probably why it doesn't get more attention. HD Ready, but IMO if it's not a widescreen tube it's just barely HD. This would be good if you have a lot of 4:3 DVDs and a progressive player, tho.
The rebate's valid through 8/19, must be postmarked by 9/19. Probably won't have an issue getting the drive within 40 days... might have to pick one up.
This is online at outpost, too, but it's more expensive:
144.99 - $60 - $5 = $79.99 + $4.83 ship = 84.82
Still not a bad deal.
linky
BTW, that MB combo is 179.99 at outpost with a 2400+. Might have to find somebody on the left coast... Are we sure that's the board in this combo? If so I'd...
Lucky bastard.
Two blue PCBs at Nashua, NH CC... The one I had the guy pull out of lockup at CompUSSR was blue as well, but there were about 5 on the shelf.
I've never seen a Henckels knife corrode for any reason. Of course, never put good knives like these in the dishwasher and dry them when you're done. The handles on the 5-star are "contoured" to fit the hand better--I prefer the straight 4-star myself but most female cooks I know prefer the...
That's hot... The printable list shows:
I/O Magic 8X DVD+RW+R Dual IDE BDVDRW8D $50 IR $50 MIR
What's the mechanism in this drive?

Rebate is here, but you do get a printout at the register.
Price went up yesterday by $10... Website price now $99.99 instead of $89.99, retail up to $169.99 from $159.99 Glad I picked up mine on Weds. I did an instore pickup so didn't need the ad to get it, even though the box was labeled...
Agreed, both are good prices. I would expect the 3000+ to come down as well, though, now that the 3200+ has been reduced. $85 for an extra 512MB of L2 cache plus a HSF and warranty is definitely a good deal.
Best price I can find for the retail box is $415... Question is will this be a hot price after the new chips/prices are announced. Makes me glad I didn't jump on that 3000+ for $220, tho.
Check this:

Apparently most PS don't have "native" (Seagate?) sata power connectors, so you need this cheapie ($3) converter?
HTH...
These appear to be 4x (according the manuf. model #). Been looking for good 4x DVD-Rs at this price point. And I get to get a box of those x-fine Pilot retractable gel pens, too...
I've been waiting on a deal for this... Have to get the network adapter as well and then probably stick a hub by my TV to share the cat5 I ran for my replay. I had a sff celeron doing media, browsing and mp3s for awhile, but the noise and the heat became problematic and the TV-out to do...
According to that review over at 2cpu, the 600SC has 4 64-bit slots and 1 32-bit slot. Any sound/video card should work in the 32-bit slot. Any "universal" 32-bit card (with the key cut) will fit in the 64-bit slots, but using a 32-bit card there will slow down the entire PCI bus (including...
I think that page at Mushkin is just saying don't use unbuffered 1GB sticks. Using a pair of 512s shouldn't incur the 50% performance hit that they observed.
