Hi guys,
I'm interested in purchasing a new pc gaming rig without the hassle of throwing it together myself. My price point can get me a higher end system and I have been considering the likes of Falcon Northwest and Alienware.
I'm a bit out of the loop on who are some of the top...
Isn't the better question, what kinds of FPS max and max hertz at good resolutions will a LCD be able to handle? From the research I've done it seems some of the higher end LCDs don't have issues with ghosting, so that in my mind is the next big issue surrounding LCDs and gaming.
Something you might find interesting before any of you guys decide to mess with the multiplier is this article I read the other day.

In that article it links you to a useful chart as well showing you what you are really running...
Well?!?!? how is the gaming performance! :P I'm looking into getting a new monitor and am a hardcore gamer, counter-strike etc. I won't settle for ghosting.
On a side note i've been trying to do some research on what monitor I should get. Basically LCDs just 'look' at lot better than CRVs...
Well I already sent the RAM back in hopes of getting a replacement.
I didn't clear the CMOS because I was getting a mobo beeping error that the RAM was bad. I tried booting with each individual stick, the first stick I got the same mobo error. The second stick I could get to bios but it...
On the K8N Neo2 Platinum, what exactly does the "HT multiplier" affect? And what relationship does it have with the RAM and CPU? I understand bumping up your FSB essentially overclocks the whole system, but what does the HT multiplier really affect?
Thanks
Man if you haven't experienced the difference you don't know what you are missing. I'm not sure what exactly it does but it is like night and day between how good games look.
I just recently bought a ATI X800 XT. I've traditionally gone the nvidea path in the past so this is my first ATI card. I have always LOVED the digital vibrance option with the drivers on nvidea but can't find anything similar to that with ATI.
Does anyone know if you there is something...
Hi Guys,
I recently built a new rig with pretty much the exact same stuff in the recent Anandtech articles rating the Neo2, AMD 3000 Winchester, and OCZ Platinum Rev 2 RAM.
My rig:
1 gig OCZ Platinum Rev 2 PC3200 - 2.5 4 4 10 1T
AMD 64 3000 Winchester
K8N Neo2 Platinum
ATI X800 XL...

I recently built a new computer with some high end stuff and am having trouble getting the most out of it. My first question is are the AGP/PCI speeds locked as default or is this something I need to manually lock?
I'm fairly new to overclocking and tried to read quite a bit before I did it...
