Does more fans means more noise?

This may sound like a silly question, but I am not sure. My system right now is incredibly noisy and I have about 8 fans altogether. Is the noise I am hearing an accummulation of all the fans together or is it the loudest fan I have ? I have the scythe ultra kaza which is the loudest at 46...

Official I7 920 safe operating temperature range?

Tonight I was able to OC to 4ghz and run PRIME95 for an hour solid. Temperate was at 80°C. I read somewhere that Intel say anywhere between 68-78°C was a safe range. Does anyone know what the official temperature range is so I do not "degrade" the chip's expected life. I like to get 5+ good...

http://www.tomshardware.com/re...ck-core-i7,2268-3.html I found this nice overclocking chart to be helpful. I currently have it OC to 3.4ghz. I manually set my CPU voltage down to 1.21 and was stable with PRIME95 for 5 hours. It was a bit hot for my taste at 72°C under full load. IDLE is...

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_DNeG...s400/cosmos8jz8us9.jpg I really like this dragon emblem and wonder how the guy did it. It looks so naturally part of the case and the whole red light theme to go with it makes it look devishly hot. Can someone direct me to a good case modding forum if such...

Recommend me a case under $200

I'm putting together an I7 system. Originally was going to use my old case but found that my noctua fan/heatsink won't fit. I fell in love with the cosmo 1010. I think I like cases that has no window to see through b/c i'm terrible in organizing the cable for a neat look so I rather not...

Dual Core 5160 vs Quad Core X5335

Its a Dell PowerEdge 2950 I'm spec'ing out. Dell recommended that I go with a single Quad core X5335 2ghz (Clovertown?) instead of the 5160 (woodcrest) 3.0 ghz. On another Dell system, I was getting dual 5160 and again I was recommended to get dual x5335 (8cores). This is going to be...
