    AGP Slots

I have an old computer. So old that the mobo (Tyan k7) has an AGP Pro slot. I don't want to upgrade my computer yet as I think it's still functional. But I am considering better graphic performance options. Wondering if something like the nVidia 6600 GT would run well on an AGP Pro slot...

    Random Reboot

Thanks. My friend has the same PSU as I do. I will ask if I can borrow his for a month to see if this problem continues.

    Random Reboot

Hello, 3 years ago I built my own computer - a dual AMD 1600 machine with a gig of RAM on a TYAN K7 mobo. Recently, my computer has been auto-rebooting for no reason. I know I didn't have a power surge because none of the other electical appliances go off or flicker. And even if I did, I...

    CPU or MB?

I just did a new install of XP about 3 weeks ago. It was never this slow. The reason why I think it was fried is because I left my computer on with the windows closed at my place. I came back from work and noticed that my computer was just blank and there was a lot of heat coming from the...

    CPU or MB?

Hello, I have a feeling that either my MB or my CPU was fried. It takes about 30 minutes to boot my box - winXP Pro on a dual 1900 AMD box. Once I log into my box I have a hard time even opening up Windows Explorer. What is the best way to find out which component burned?

    Graphics Card

I'm looking to purchase 2 LCDs within 30 days. One of the requirements I have for the LCDs is that they have both DVI and analog inputs. That said, I'm still undecided on what graphics card I should get. Money is an issue. I originally thought I should purchase a Matrox p750 and have both...

    Round Cables

I'll look into those as well. I'm still hesitant on the rounded IDE cables, but it the sleeving for the power cables makes a lot of sense to me. It seems to be a bit more involved though. Heh.

    Round Cables

Is there any performance benefits from using a single device cable vs multi-device cables. For my primary IDE channel, I'm forced to use a dual-device cable. But for my secondary IDE channel, I only have a DVD/CD+R device. I don't plan on adding anything in the future.

    Round Cables

Thanks, I'll check out SVC, I did a search on round cables before I posted, and order some up. Another quick question. I have a Primary IDE channel and an Seconday IDE channel on my board (Tyan K7). I noticed the round cables are one device per channel. How do I connect 2 HDDs and 1 DVD/CD+R...

    Round Cables

Hello, Do round cables add any value? Are they any better then the flat cables my case came with?
