    Win7 Hanging at Loading Windows....

I would just suggest reinstalling. You really shouldn't have even hit these errors to begin with. I even replaced the motherboard on my Win7 PC without changing the drivers (went from nVidia->Intel chipset) and Win7 didn't even have an issue with it. There's probably something wrong with your...

Oh....you can't enable or disable AHCI *after* an OS install, that will certainly make things not work.

That's a good point sky, but I don't think the battery would cause this behavior anyway.

Windows 7 Unidentified network problem, cant connect to internet

I'd also check out the cable you're using. This can happen with bad cables. Can you paste in an "ipconfig /all"?

PC on idle crashes to screen with coloured vertical stripes

This really sounds like a driver issue. The bent pin shouldn't be an issue. I would really like to blame heat, but your temps look fine. Try disabling power management settings. If you make it never sleep or hibernate, does this happen?

Odd lagging issue while gaming (SOLVED)

I guess in that sense, you do want a heatsink that isn't very hot - but only because that means your processor isn't very hot. It's just good to know whether it's your airflow or heat transfer that's the issue. Let me know how it goes.... (and don't actually burn yourself...)

Odd lagging issue while gaming (SOLVED)

no, if your processor is 90C, then you want your heatsink to be 90C. If it's colder than that, then heat isn't leaving your processor.

Odd lagging issue while gaming (SOLVED)

It would be why all the cores are hot. I'm sure there are tutorials out there. You would need a tube of Arctic Silver (I think it's the best kind). The thermal paste is what lets heat leave the processor and go onto the heatsink. A really good test to see if this is your problem is to let...

Odd lagging issue while gaming (SOLVED)

Glad it worked. You may want to reapply thermal paste to your processor/heatsink. It's important that this is done right (my processor gets to ~48C Max on any core), otherwise heat builds up on the die.

    Problem with DLINK DIR-615 router

Hm. Well, I can't say for certain - and I hesitate before telling you to buy something, but usually this is caused because of a weak signal to the modem. I guess I should ask if you have a cable modem? If so, you could buy a signal amplifier from best buy or anything like that. It's...

    Problem with DLINK DIR-615 router

Also, you could check if it's an IP conflict by opening a command windows and typing "ipconfig /all" It'll say if there's a conflict. But, it's not a conflict (at all).

    Problem with DLINK DIR-615 router

What's probably happening is that the modem signal level (not your wifi signal level) is dropping below acceptable levels, causing the modem to internally reset itself. This requires a reboot of the router to fix usually.

    Internet slow, intermittent problems

It's not an IP conflict (almost never is....) Opera and Chrome are both fast (I use Opera) I would look at what's around you. Any of the following: fridge, cordless phone, microwave, other appliances, etc. If any of these are between you and your wireless source, and not between your...

ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT overheating

A can of compressed air is like $3 at most. Just go to Target/Best Buy/etc. and buy one. It's possible you need to redo the paste, but that's probably not appropriate until all other avenues have been followed.

Odd lagging issue while gaming (SOLVED)

Check your processor temps. If they're getting hot while gaming, that could cause your problem. I know it sounds unlikely, but I fixed my friend's Fallout 3 issues (similar lag spike problems) by re-doing the thermal paste on his machine.

Odd lagging issue while gaming (SOLVED)

Are you playing Splinter Cell online? If so, are you using Wifi? If both of these are true, make sure you use the wifi card manufacturer's wifi config utility, NOT the built-in XP one. The XP one will cause periodic lag spikes...

ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT overheating

I would definitely get compressed air. There's a good chance that there is dust somewhere you can't see that is blocking airflow. You should really clean the whole PC with compressed air

    Computer will not boot Windows

How long have you let it sit there? I've had cases where it seemed like it was just hung, but ended up working after 45 minutes and then never had an issue afterwards. Vista sucks like that. Also, (this is unlikely since it got to the Vista load, but it's worth a shot) make sure all your...

    Weird Issue

Wondering what other people thought about this. There are two problems, but I think they're related. First, is that when I have a USB hub hooked up to my computer, it occasionally just completely turns off. It doesn't reboot, just the system powers off suddenly. The event log shows...

Ageia's PPU to be launched in March?

ATI and nVidia are NOT going with the Havok engine. All Havok does is charge developers a huge sum of cash to use an API that can offload physics to a GPU. If you talk to game developers, they'll tell you it's a bad solution - the game bottleneck is still graphics - having the graphics card do...

    Ageia PhysX

I just had a meeting with the Product Manager for Ageia. The card that is out now will be hitting the $99 price point eventually - which is when they plan to go mainstream. I asked him a lot of questions about Havok - and Ageia isn't competing with Havok. They don't even consider Havok to...

    AMD64 X2 4800 and A8V problem

I'd also check to see if it's the power supply or hard drive. But honestly, this could be anything. Your power supply looks fine, but as someone who works with a lot of chips, a funny voltage when a chip starts can mess it up, even when the voltage stabilizes on it. The only way to...

5/8 second BIOS delay..is this normal?

Don't worry about the boot delay. Usually what it's doing is checking your computer for any bootable devices. It can take a few seconds. Onchip SATA Enabled/Disabled turns the SATA chip in your computer on and off. Onchip SATA Boot ROM Enabled/Disabled determines whether or not you can...

    Video Card/CPU died?

It's probably the hard drive. It's not the video card/processor. Processors usually either work or don't work, they don't sort of work. When video cards break it's very visible that they break. To reformat your hard drive or reinstall windows, put in your windows CD, then turn on the...

PS2 extensions, how long can they be?

I wouldn't worry about it until you're getting much longer than 20 feet. The amount of noise that would have to be induced would be insane on a PS/2 line.
