    overclock disaster

OK, this is my own fault: Got an A8N-Sli deluxe with 3800x2 (s939), 7800gtx and 7100gs in it. Used to run it from its stock 2ghz at 2.5ghz with no problems, but when the CMOS battery died and I replaced it, I never bothered taking it back up to 2.5ghz again and left it back at stock 2ghz...

Powering a small fan off of xbox360 USB ?

As per the title really, my 360 is in a cabinet which has the doors open when playing (naturally), but it can get a bit warm in there. What's your hard disk life like?

After getting into some debate in another forum, I wondered what the average life expectancy of the disks of people round here are. Let's see if we can get some figures together. Edit: hmm, is this poll showing up? It's there when I edit but I don't see it.

this new chip, has it been unlocked or something?

Hi Just got a P4 Northwood 3ghz off auction, sold as working. I notice however that two pins are locked together (amateurishly). With the chip the 'right way up', it's the bottom right hand corner. From there, it's on the outside at the fourth row up, and it's 1 inner neighbour. Hmmm...
