It is unless you do the widescreen hack to allow it to display it properly, even though it still crops off some of the screen, but it won't be stretch. BF2 looks wonderfuly at 1920x1200 on my 2405
Yes, you can install an OS, the OS will just try to load in appopriate drivers, in this case, it will load generic ATi drivers for the 9800pro until you load the new catalysts in. Be sure to do your mobo/chipset/directx9 before you do video
Sorry Fur, but im with the guys at SilentPC on this one. They do this crap for a living and worked with one of the worlds largest and best case makers to design this and HIGHLY doubt they would have over looked area's you keep griping about. They have the knowledge, expertise, experience, know...
The airflow exhaust from the newer VGA silencers isn't that strong but not to worry, it is exhausting. To put your mind at ease, put a piece of kleenax in front of the exhaust and you'll see air movement. The fans the VGA silencers use are centrifugal blowers so they have to move air sideways...
Your PC is only going to be as cool as the ambient air around it and seeings how air cooling isn't as effective as say, water cooling, your always gonna have tempatures above ambient air tempature for obvoius reasons. If your trying to cool a 50c CPU with 40c ambient air, your not gonna get...
Nope, hack that sucker with a jigsaw and put a quiet 80mm on that thing. I really hate our Cisco and HP switches at work, their little fans whining is farking annoying.
Hey guys, im totally stumped. I replaced my aging 19" Viewsonic CRT with beautiful Hyundia L90D+. So far its been working wondeful in my games, but everything except all my EA games like Need for Speed Underground 2 and Battle for Middle Earth have lost all their higher resolution options in...
A brand new Antec NePower was used. I swapped my Corair 3700XMS with 512 meg Corsair ValueSelect RAM and it made no difference, the system was still unstable, even if I used my older Western Digital IDE drives.
Even doing this for a living, sometimes I just have to admit defeat and take my losses. I"ve spent the last 4 days trying to get my Athlon 64 setup working with Asus A8V but to not a single stroke of luck. Below follows my sad journey back into the AMD world....
After the usuall ripping out...
rrgh this is confusing as hell. I know I have to get my VIA raid drivers for my A8V when I do the OS installation but do I need to still run the VIA Southbridge install utility after I have Windows XP is install or do I just leave it alone.
Its a seperate driver from the hyperion chipset...
Arrrrgh, im so confused on what to do here. I"ve went and ordered my new Athlon 64 system, complete with Asus A8V and 3200+ *3500+ are no where to be found and asinine in price*
I have a gig of Corsair XMS 3700 3-4-4-8 Ram left over from my P4 setup. Im wondering is this stuff worth reusing...
Yeah, I suppose I could go ahead and order my A8V and Seagate HDD's as I seriously doubt their price will flex much and then order the CPU later.
Im just really worried that this Corsair XMS 3700 with 3-4-4-8 will kill my performance and OC headroom. Wish there were some sites that did some...
Hey guys, hoping you could give me some incite into the new overclocking world of the Athlon 64's. Planning on upgrading very soon to a ASUS A8V and my big problem is finding a CPU to pair it with.
I was totally set on the 3500+ .90nm, but not only are they out of stock everywhere, but Newegg...
