Hmmm now lets see...
Am not going to give any answers and solutions coz it'll take away the benefits of learning from trials and research. i can link to this site but i am not responsible for messing up anything! use what's there at your own risk.
A word of advice: search and research...
Easy, You set your [Adjust CPU VID] to lets say 1.425v, your [CPU Voltage] to, lets say Over VID 3.3%.
What you get is:
1.425 + [(3.3x1.425)/100] = 1.425+0.047025 that's roughly 1.472 volts
keep in mind that this board undervolts the VID by almost 0.1v (if i find the link where that got...
I guess nobody has taken a look at XFX , here's a review of it.
Quote:"We managed to overclock the XFX GeForce from its default clock speeds up to 462/1200MHz, which isn't too bad when you consider that the reference clock speeds for the standard GeForce 6800Ultra are 400/1100MHz - we're...
I guess this is a dual chip heatsink not a single one, no cpu will rest under that groove in the middle. It could be made for two cpus side by side where their center levels at the screw holes.
YW :)
Yepp, seems to be happening to all new bioses and it sometimes happens with the memory speeds and sometimes cpu multies. but i don't think it's that critical.
happy ocing!
Just in case you didn't use this way: Try connecting only the CDRW to the IDE2(master) dont use the DVD and your WD to the IDE1(master) and take a shot with WinXP! or try the opposite (using only the DVDROM as secondary master) good luck
cheers :)
i guess the MSI neo2 is different judging by the manual and color codes, did you try dimm1/dimm4?
when i look at the review done here i see the ocz put in dimm1/dimm3! did they test it like that???
dimm1/dimm2? shouldn't it be dimm1/dimm3 or dimm2/dimm4? like same color dimms? anyway i hope am wrong. did you check the tables in the MSI's Neo2 page ? maybe it's newer then the manual.
Good luck
Try switching Dimms these MSI boards are quircky when it comes to memory placement. and check for command rate, maybe trying to use 2T would make it more stable? good luck
PS: Check the table in the middle of this page i hope it'll help!
One more option is to go to the BIOS, highlight the...
NCIX are running short of 6800GTs and every high end videocard... and they're not restocking fast enough! add to this that prices (on videocards that is) fluctuate esp for the BFG 6800GT...( i canceled my order after 23 days of waiting and false promises)
One videocard that caught my attention...
There's one detail that many don't pay attention to:
The space between the mobo and the case's wall is a real heat trap! so if you don't have good airflow in the case and even if you open the side facing the mobo+cpu+all the gang, there's still heat beeing trapped behind the mobo and the...
Memory on a videocard has latencies and voltages applied to it just like RAM in a mobo. All these variables are set in the videocard's BIOS and/or circuitry. So even if a memory is rated 3.3ns capable of running(1000/3.3=~303Mhz) it depends on whatever the setting is in the BIOS. If the 8500LE's...
I respect everyone in these forums and your opinion too though i never quoted anyone nor did i adress what i said to anyone in particular so "qui se sent morveux se mouche".
Apart from that, twice i have recieved faulty processors coz some wiseguy fiddled with it then rmaed it. so it's a...
Could there be a way to compare FX-53 and 4000+ (am talking about die and packaging and L1...L12 bridges and stuff) and find out what bridge(s) is(are) cut and what is not?

Ever heard about Diogenes? brilliant mind who liked to tease others and see how they react (often stupidly, hmmm some similarity with what i read in all the responses to...
Well if it makes those sounds (crackling noise) while the HDD activity LED is blinking in synch with the noise then it's normal. Yes they are loud compared to a seagate :)
lol don't worry ;) i always shop online. just wanted to help in whatever way i can. :D:beer:
(I only go to futureshop just to listen for whatever nonsense sellers tell to shoppers; very amusing)
Futureshop has some mail rebate on WD 120GB
link
Seagate is also a good choice, NCIX has some good prices.
At this level i guess price is the only variable to consider (apart from warranty) :)
Here's a link where, if you scroll down a lil, you'll see it on a K8N Plat. Dunno if the guys reviewed it though. Well at least we know it fits!
(Good forum for A64 and K8N btw if you happen to understand french.)
Try switching dimms then boot and test every configuration. i had the same problems with a corsair XL 512MB in dimm 2 switched it to dimm1 and no more problems what so ever.
K8N is very picky when it comes to ram size and dimms choice
Changes:
CPU Voltage has 4 options now >>>Over CPU VID: 3.3%; 5%; 8.3%; 10%.
CPU VID option allows up to 1.55v in 0.025v increments
The small hidden options changed a lil too
overclocking seems better: running 3400 CH at 220x11 Vcore=stock; HT=3x; ram 1:1 (dimm1 populated w/corsair 512 MB...
Tested both 3400 and 3500 and kept the 3400... with the price difference you can get something else and the performance difference is not really there. but with second generation mobos we could expect a performance gain from the 939. a noticable gain, something we feel and see not just some...
