    I'm Korean.

His race/nationality etc. matters not, he was sick, any race/nationality can have sick people. My views on South Koreans or Asians in general has not changed. I think of people as individuals, I base my opinions on what I know about them, not what I know about their race/nationality.

Updated: Which Linux distro are you currently using?

Fixed, sorry everyone! So then...should ELIVE be considered a separate distro? Bob, I have no problem with you asking the question in this thread, though you are certainly welcome to start another if you so desire. In my opinion most mainstream distros are fairly easy to get started...

Updated: Which Linux distro are you currently using?

Absolutely, and there really isn't anything wrong with that. People should support what they like and try and be as active as possible. Sometimes our passion gets the best of us, but I'd rather people be passionate about something than monotone about everything.

Updated: Which Linux distro are you currently using?

For a while now I've noticed how much ground Ubuntu has gained. I'm just happy more and more are getting into Linux. I am still a supporter of Red Hat / Fedora Core. I started out with Red Hat 5.2 that I actually purchased from the store. My friend and I split the cost, he kept the book, I...

Alright, I have removed the BSD and Unix flavors. The only thing left is Linux distributions and my attempt at humor. Please let me know of anything that is inaccurate.

Updated: Which Linux distro are you currently using?

n0c you are right, the new releases of the MAC OS are Unix based. Man, maybe you should be running this thread!

Updated: Which Linux distro are you currently using?

n0c, Again, you have some valid points. Asking what distro of 'nix and then giving AIX as an option is not really valid. AIX being a "version" or "release" of Unix not a distro of 'nix. Though I suppose I may be stretching the meaning of distro rather far. I'll think on this but I may...

Updated: Which Linux distro are you currently using?

Would it be advisable to have a SLED (Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop) category in addition to the Suse category? Or perhaps I should nix the REHL category and just lump that in with Fedora. Though I was curios if anyone used REHL. Opinions? Though I seemed to answer my own question, I...

Updated: Which Linux distro are you currently using?

n0cmonkey, Fair enough, though the poll is what 'nix distro are you using, not which OS. I'll change my comment about equating the all hail comments to choosing OSX and MS respectively. Thanks for the additional input!

I've not heard of that distro. Googling has shown that it exists, I'll add it.

    CCNA/CCDA Boot Camp

I went to a MCSE boot camp to pass the 2003 MCSE. It worked perfectly for that purpose, but that purpose alone. I had already been in the field for many years and had done a lot of reading/study before hand. The only reason I went to the boot camp was to learn all of the nitty-gritty details...

We have an E6300 test machine here with the following spec: E6300 (obviously) not OC'd 2GB DDR2-667 80GB 7200 RPM SATA GeForce 6200 Seems to run fairly well. Aero looks great. We've only tested business apps on it though, my company doesn't have a big need to test gaming.

    'nother question for Christians

I'd like very much for there to be something more. Either good or bad as long as something happens. However, my gut feeling is that we just cease to exist. I'll let you know how I make out when I get there, unless of course I do just cease to exist. If that is the case take my silence as the...

How would one setup a dialup server or BBS server?

They are pooling their numbers. Lets say its a small ISP with 20 clients. Also, lets say they have a single dial-in number. That number is pooled so when it is dialed there are 10 lines it can connect to (usually all with their own individual numbers that no one sees). The ISP is counting on...

    SonicWall Thoughts

The TZ 170 is a good unit. We have several TZ 170s along with Tele3 SPs. Our main SonicWalls consist of three Pro 3060 units which have been very reliable for us. I've been using SonicWalls for years now and have had good luck. I guess my vote is TZ 170!

Registering 2 IPs with one router

Actually, More advanced routers can give you features like this. SonicWall has Firewall/Routers with multiple optional ports that can be used for fail over and load balancing. I'm sure they could be configured to meet your multi-ip needs.

My first suggestion would be as others have said...ROUTER. Beyond that it was also suggested to go ICS in XP which is a good suggestion as well if a router is out of the question. If you wish to do neither of these then leaving your modem unplugged would usually work. Some modems require...

Share a Printer on a Home Network (without being connected to one)?

I agree with Jack in that a printer with a build in print server is best. However, if this is not an option the suggestion Sonoma made is the next best thing. We have a few of these exact devices implemented and they really do work well. Good luck with whatever you chose.
