    smartphone battery life

iPhone is famous for its battery life. However, my SGSII can last me a full day without dipping below 70 % battery life.

    Samsung Galaxy S II...

I have noticed very little difference between the ICScrewD browser and the stock browser on my phone.

    I hate Swype thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much

Why do you dislike swype and swiftkey so much? I can't stand the gingerbread keyboard. Haven't used Samsung's since like the first day I got my phone. Haven't used WP7 or ICS yet either.

    I hate Swype thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much

Oh, mine hasn't locked out. I just don't like this current version because it's too inaccurate for me. That's why I want to update to the new version which supposedly has better accuracy and dragon dictation or whatever it's called.

    I hate Swype thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much

I don't think it's broken. When I tried to update it the updater said that it wouldn't update because it was preinstalled. Which doesn't make sense, why should we have to be stuck with an old version just because we got it preinstalled on our phones? Their system is horribly flawed. It would...

    I hate Swype thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much

I just tried to update it on my SGSII. I went through that annoying process of signing up, downloading their installer, then going on it to update. Oh look, updates not supported on preinstalled devices. Well then, what a waste of my time. I guess to update I have to root my phone, uninstall...

$100 headphones; anything better options than Sennheiser HD-280?

For around 60 bucks you could get the Sony MDR-7506. I have the V6, which are pretty much the same headphones, and I love them.

Did my Swype dictionary reset? Accuracy is shit again.

I don't think swype has had the ability to learn until the most recent update. The older swype versions seem too inaccurate for me.

So if I bought a SGSII tomorrow...

As far as I know, there is no completely stable ICS build for the S2. There are several experimental builds available that you could get however. I can't help you with these builds right now though because I'm holding out until a stable build becomes available, which should hopefully be in...

    Is code commenting bad?

I'd say code should be readable in that you can easily understand what it's doing, and comments should be there to tell you why it's doing that. I do not know the industry view on it though.

    bf3-like?

I heard the guy that made that photo-realistic GTA4 mod is doing the same with Skyrim. So once he does that, Skyrim is going to be even more beautiful than it already is.

    Samsung Galaxy s2

Network speeds would be faster, but the phone itself would be slower. And as for battery life, I have the normal at&t s2. I've had the phone since it came out in october. I've been using it today since 9 this morning. It's now 7 pm and I have 70 % battery life left. Now all I've...

    Budget rig: i3-2100 or i3-2120?

I'd just go with the 2100, it's still a good processor and probably not that noticeable a performance difference. Plus you might be able to overclock (note I'm just saying this, no idea if you can overclock them) which would boost you up to the same performance anyway.

    Fuzzy Screen with HDMI?

Ahh that fixed the scaling issue, but not the fuzzy text. However, after looking around a bit more I found a pixel format option. I changed it from YCbCr 4:4:4 to RGB 4:4:4 full and it fixed it. What an easy fix. Thanks a lot.

Amazon Buys Siri Rival to Compete With Apple

No. No it's not anywhere near as good, at all. I have an android phone that I bought the day the iPhone 4S released, and although I love my phone, I have to admit that Siri completely blows it out of the water. I applaud apple for making such a revolutionary design. It is way better than any...

    Fuzzy Screen with HDMI?

Alright so I recently got a new computer, it's a base model Dell XPS 8300 with an i5 2320, Radeon 6450, 6 GB ram. Lowest price model. So I go to connect it to my monitor, an HP 2159m, with an hdmi cable, and I notice the screen is super fuzzy and blurry. Plugging in a VGA cable instead and...

    Headphone suggestions ~$200

If you are referring to the 7506 (which is basically just an upgraded version of the v6) then yeah, those were around when I bought my v6 a year ago. No Idea why I bought the older ones when the new ones were the same price and probably sounded the same if not slightly better.

    headphones in the $70-120 range

I would definitely get the mdr-v6. I've got them, and I love them. Sound quality is so good for the price. Crisp and balanced. Plus a lot of professionals tend to use them (well, at least the musicians I listen to).

    Headphone suggestions ~$200

I have these. Love them, such good sound quality for the price. Clean and balanced. Of course they don't compare to the higher priced ones though.

Morrowind, where can i find a full graphics upgrade mod?

http://morrowindoverhaul.net/blog/ Eventually they are supposed to overhaul the entire game, right now it's mostly just sound and graphics. But the graphics are a huge improvement. Takes a while to set up and there might be a few bugs but once you get it working it's great. There's also...

Son wants to be a computer programmer

I'd recommend Visual Basic because it's probably the programming language most like normal english, and it's super easy to learn. But you're on ubuntu and I'm not sure if you can get vb on that, so I don't know. A lot of people tend to say python is a good language to start with, but I've...

Am I seriously being forced to buy a Macbook air?!

Is the UX31 the Asus Zenbook? I was going to suggest that lol. I'd suggest some other ultrabook that's already out or supposed to come out soon. As to a specific one, I don't know because I haven't been paying a lot of attention to specific models.

    AMD Quad Core A6-3600?

True, this computer has a better GPU than any computer I've had in the past. Even though it's not exactly super high end. Wish it would have an hdmi port with it though, that's weird. And I only do light pc gaming, so this is probably perfect for that.

    AMD Quad Core A6-3600?

Yes, that was exactly it. This new processor is a quad though. It seems to be the least popular of the llano cpus though, I can hardly find anything at all on it compared to the 3650 or 3400 or whatever else. They gave us this model as a replacement...

    AMD Quad Core A6-3600?

Oh haha well that's probably why there was little info, it just seemed obscure because I couldn't find much on them. But yeah this computer will mostly just be used for everyday tasks like you said, and a bit of light gaming. So I guess it's not that bad. Maybe I will put an ssd in here...

    AMD Quad Core A6-3600?

I'm probably just gonna keep this because dealing with best buy is way too much of a hassle. And I'm getting a new computer on top of this that should be more than sufficient, considering it will have an i5 instead of some obscure amd line.

    AMD Quad Core A6-3600?

It was purchased from best buy, about a year and a half ago. I don't know if it was warranty, it cost like 350 bucks though. I wasn't really the one dealing with it, it was my parents. Basically the motherboard on my old computer broke and wouldn't read the hdd, resulting in a bsod then a...

    AMD Quad Core A6-3600?

So this is a pretty weird situation. About a week ago my computer had a hard drive/motherboard failure so we for some reason sent it in to best buy to get it fixed. Well, they instead decided to give us a completely new computer, an hp pavilion p7-1154 to be exact. The previous was an hp...
