That's right, dual DVI only. Although if necessary I could use VGA with the adaptors that came with the cards.
I just hope it stays working this well.
At present, for the first time since building this machine it all works fine!
To those like me who have had problems with large LCD monitors. I have solved my initial problem, at least at the moment. I am only using a single LCD solution so it's not an issue losing dvi #1 on my XFX 6800U dual DVI, but plugging the DVI into port 2 rather than port 1 has solved the...
I have a PC Power and Cooling 510 SLI PSU and my 12v rail is stable as you like, but it seems to be set at 11.77v. Doesn't seem to be causing me any problems but I would like to turn it up a little, from what I understand the pots arent easy to get to when its installed...
Thanks for the links steam, I'll have a read. as for being plugged into the wrong port, it's currently plugged into the top card port one (dual DVI cards) and I have dualview disabled. That's correct isn't it?
Friends, Romans, Countrymen...
I finally have my voltage problems sorted by the delivery of my PCP&C510 and the temp problems sorted by a much noisier fan :) and changing the PCI Sync to Auto from 33.3 (drops the temp of cpu by quite a bit)
1. Now I am experiencing a weird issue whereby I...
I dont know all those answers but the bandwidth is indeed dropped to 8x when two PCI-e cards are running in SLI.
TBH I dont know anyone that's tried running 2 cards with multiple heads, NON-SLI.... You might be the first...
They were not exactly glib. They did try to come to a solution for me so I wouldn't have to change it, but their own calculations showed my system runs very close to their maximum and they could see no oher alternative. Apparently there are UK specific models of the OCZ 520W (i.e. without the...
Streckfus,
Most definitely be fine. I have the following specs:

Corsair TWINX2048-3200C2

Dual XFX 6800 Ultra's
250 GB Maxtor Diamond Max 10 SATA
200GB Maxtor Diamond Max 9 ATA133
NEC DVD-RW 2500A
Sony DVD-ROM
USB Scanner
USB Connection for Pocket...
I was noticing large voltage drops when I started gaming and I actually heard the fans all slow down, so much that it was affecting my CPU temps. Asus Probe read that it was dropping to 10.8V, so I contacted OCZ and asked them. They gave me details on how to measure the different rails whilst...
No i understand, I wasn't trying to argue myself. The Asus recomendations just don't seem to fit. It's one of the reasons I made sure I could get my 2GB in just 2 sticks, after reading about so many people in the 4 sticks no dual channel situation. Cost me the earth though, 1GB sticks are not...
From what I've read over all of the huge threads about this board, no one I've seen (unless I'm just bilnd) has gotten dual channel with 4 sticks.
Hands up if you have please people! :)
I think you'll find that this board will only do dual channel with 2 sticks, i.e. 2x512 or 2x1GB.
I'm running corsair TWINX2048-3200C2 at 1T and it runs fine in dual channel, but others I know running 2 lots of TWINX1024-3200C2 can only run in single channel mode.
From what I understand the 1.02 boards are actually the 3rd revision already. Early December models (mainly to review sites) were version 1.00 and I know a few people who have 1.01 versions.
Funny this wobbling effect, definitely CPU related, it happened during the cpu tests on 3dark03 too. Maybe the core voltage is running low or something. Everything else is rock solid.
Bios 1003 has solved the problems. I just hope it doesn't drop the Maxtor SATA after a few reboots like it has other peoples.

Thats more like it 9353 in 3dmark05
The loading screen for 3dmark still got 'wobbly' when it reached the 2 cpu...
Does anyone have this board running with dual 6800 Ultras and an OCZ 520W Powerstream PSU running okay at default speeds? I have that setup and I am getting major artifacts in 3d apps I can only put down to power since I have had no stability problems and I believe I have adequate cooling. I'd...
