the only thing audio related in my bios that i see shows like this:
Audio: choice 1 (EDB) or choice 2 (PCI)
its set at edb. its default
and yeah there is a lot of forum trolls around because this is urgent to me since i have spent more than 40 hours researching a solution
two days ago i started up my computer and BAM. no audio. i open up the volume control and it says "There are no active mixer devices available. To install mixer devices, go to Control Panel click Printers and other Hardware and the click Add Hardware". so i go into my device list thinking...

i play cs(counter-strike) on 56k..and i was wondering..is there any tweaks, programs, registry settings i can change or download to help me get a better ping??? please help..
two more questions....how come when i change the clock settings:
1. everytime i start up my comp it goes back to the origional settings even if i check apply these settings at startup box.
2. the highest it goes before saying the settings are too high is 411mhz, 1.11ghz when my stepbrother...
my computer is insanely loud and i was wondering if there was a nice software program that i can change the speed of my case fans and calculate the tempeture of my computer.

well i am that "wonderfully smart brother" my jerk brother would state but i was wondering if i can oc on it farther than 323/490 ?
because i tried a few settings and it said it was unstable.
and one more question. i was playing the demo call of duty that came with the 5500 and i tried...
i have a 17" sharp lcd and i really wish i had a crt. the image quality is horrible on most lcd's......and as for headaches....lcd us the wrong way to go....
