I purchased the cooler from ebay without reading the description very closely -- turned out it came with only AMD bracket, not the Intel one (which is what I have, unfortunately)
If anyone has a ZEROtherm BTF90 used with AMD chip, do you think you could part with the 775 bracket?
Thanks
I've read a lot of info on boosting wifi signals. Here's what you need to know:
* the best improvement to your signal is a higher-gain antenna
* if you boost the power output, you get a higher range FOR SENDING ONLY. That means your laptop will be able to "see" the network at a further...
Hi all,
I have a Tyan Thunder K8SE (S2892) with dual 246 opterons and 4x 512MB RAM (set up 2 sticks per CPU). Under Windows 2003 x64 Advanced server, I run Sandra 2005 and it gives me a pretty low score (4000-something) for memory benchmark. As a warning/note at the bottom, it says NUMA and...
ordered one last evening. got a confirmation email this morning.
didn't get a cancellation email (yet) - going to pick up the card tonight after work
If it works, I'll officially nominate Microcenter as my fav store (well perhaps 2nd fav - 1st is Fry's Rental) - snatched a 9800 NP during...
I bought one when the deal went up 2nd time on w00t (MONTHS ago) -- DMP1 is pretty good but not without its flaws:
* there is no fast-forward/rewind option when playing a file
* the screen is nearly unusable if you wear polarized sunglasses
* the screen is made of a very soft plastic and...

Not all deals are great, though: e.g. Noir wall scroll sells for $6 elsewhere, but Excel Saga scroll is cheaper than other places.. YMMV of course
Wow, didn't check back on this thread until now..

We're trying to find ways to hack the DMP1 and the DMS1 - any help is appreciated :)
Oh yeah.. just noticed that the remote controller pictured in the bundle looks suspiciously like the Hauppauge remote controller. The only difference seems to be the color and the logo.
Gotta love having one remote for everything :D
what can i say.. this is an mp3 player for the car... with 802.11b streaming.. and all components (i think except for the 802.11 router and a PC) are included. They say it's normally over $500 for the bundle. But hurry, they're not likely to restock it.. and the supply is probably very limited...
I bought Logitech Z-560 for exactly $100 (on sale from $200) - that was 2-3 years ago. That was a hell of a sale, imo - the quality of the speakers is amazing!
I'd recommend Logitech speakers any day ;)
Finding ones below $100 is another question...
I have an Audiobahn (RF) and RCA (IR) that I got on Black Friday last year ($20 each AR). They both work OK, but there are caveats:
pro: IR is standard, even works with the car VCR system
con: range is quite limited, no more than 10 ft and must have no obstacles between transmitter and...
The service is OK, not great.
My problem with it is only that it's not very mozilla-friendly.
That is, it's okay if you need to post special files (e.g. XML, quite common nowadays) they won't necessarily work correctly. They dont' for me in Firefox.
Their servers are Micro$oft.
other than...
The mouse mode works if you enable it from P5 Control Panel (2nd tab, I believe).
You CAN hold and drag, just keep your finger bent while dragging.
As for other modes, you can go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/p5glove and download the PIE program and PPJoy somewhere on the net (freeware) -...
Ooh, a fun link
since it goes "https://http//www.newegg.com..." it's not valid. Firefox assumes it's a search term and looks it up on google using "i'm feeling lucky" search. That forwards you to www.altavista.com
anyway, nice deal ;)
Same here - no games included :( CG only responds that games are not listed on their website as being part of the package.
Calibration is a byotch and goes wonky if any IR devices present (i have IR headphones)
might buy another glove for a gift though..
A while ago there was a pretty good deal on a USB drive. I tried getting in on it but by the time my order was processed, it became OOS.
As an apology, Buy.com sent me a coupon for $5 for any Kingston product sold at Buy.com. I haven't used it, so one of you might be able to.
Coupon expires...
sorry about delay, everyone
here's the download link: <OUTDATED LINK REMOVED>
You will need a code to run the install. Please email me at kostya(at)entetel[dot]com for this and account signup information.
I will add 80503.
Well, so far we have our own database (only several ZIP codes). When the time comes, we will purchase the data for the whole country.
We also have a project in the works where you can sign up to get the data by yourself (just like JasonMeudt's project)
Thanks for responding, everyone.
I will try to add all the zip codes of MVP device owners. Please check back on Monday :)

they DID say "new subscribers only"... didn't say anything about one person only tho X'D
Just got a rejection letter from Betty Crocker Direct Marketing. It says the free scissors are only for a first-time catalog order (meaning you have to buy something along with scissors).
note: in my experience VTech (and most FAR/cheap phones) phones suck. I've had several FAR ones in the past and they all pretty much died out within a few months - they would barely work outside of my small room.
If you have lots of equipment that could interfere with cordless phones (a wireless...
