Guys have a Chaintech nf4 ultra board. I slapped two more sticks of Mushkin (2.5 CL stuff) the other day and my settings stayed at 1t and DDR 400. At first I did not believe it myself. Not to go into a long explanation but I had another set of 2 x512mb Blueline and it would always default...
I recently purchased a 6800XT. I was able to unlock 8 extra pipelines and 2 vertex shaders but when I play a game I get graphics bugs. I went back and did them one at a time and so far I am only able to safely unlock a vertex shader. I haven't tried a second one yet. The disabled pieplines...
Walmart has these for 22.18!! right now. I picked up the last one at my local walmart. There was no pricetag on it and the receipt says "you saved 57.82" when it rang up. I saw this on another website and a few people have verified it around the country.
here is a link to the item on...
I did it and the instant approval only lets me use the card on sonystyle. It says in 2 weeks I'll get my card in the mail, I guess you have to wait until then to use it at will.
I picked this up when they had this deal a few weeks ago. They also have a usb wireless adapoter $5 after rebate. Got them working in combo now.
With tax the router ends up being $4.
Well $1.xx after MIR (TAX) . I was suprised they had these in stock but the display only said $30 MIR. After wasting about 15 minutes talking to the guy and him giving me a load of bs, I got them to log into the bb.com website so I could read the linksys rebate. It looked like it was good to...
I just built this system for my brother inlaw for $914. Most from ZZF and case from chief value
AMD 64 3200+ (retail)
2x512 gb corsair value ram
Gigabyte turbo series 6600 GT
Antec Sonata Case w/ 380 w true power
Lite on dvd /cd-rw combo drive
Sony Floppy
80 GB WD sata drive w/ 8 mb...
Seems like overkill with your case/psu for that setup. I just built a second system using an antec sonata w/ the 380w tru power psu. It is $97 shipped from chiefvalue. That has plenty of juice for my setup which is very simlar to yours. If your trying to future proof, then thats cool but you...
If the main purpose of this computer is to play EQ2, like mine. Then he would benefit from 2 gigs. And again if his main purpose to play EQ2 then the increase in performance of 4x512 will be greater than running 2x512 at 1t. I orignally had 1 gig of mushkin blue line up until last month. I...
Yes EQ2 GREATLY benefits from 2GB. I have a VNF4 and manually clocked my 2 GB back to 200mhz 2-3-3-7. I dont O/C at the moment. All I do with my computer is play EQ2:) If I was building today, I would do everything the same except I would get a 6800 GT vice my 6600GT. PCI-e cards were just...
On my VNF4 ultra I can get 4x 512 blue line to hit 2-3-2-7 @ 2.7 v. This is at stock speeds of course. (200mhz) When I tried to set it to 2-2-2-6 in the bios it boots and cpu-z still shows 2-3-2-6. Not sure what going on there, but Im going to try to boost the voltage a bit and hit 2-2-2-6...
I have 2 GB(4x512 all blueline) on my nf4 board running at the following settings:
Cas# -2
Ras to Cas#- 3
RAS# precharge -3
so (2-3-3)
Cycle time -8 clocks
Bank cycle time -12 clocks
dram idle timer -16 clocks
@ 200 mhz per cpu-z
The system is not O/C'ed so I just manually set...
I am running 1 gig of mushkin blue right now in dual channel. They were purchased as two seperate sticks not as a package. Just an FYI for those concerned.

Got my email from outpost. IT IS BLUELINE.
THIS IS SMOKING HOT.
edit: This is directly out of the confirmation email
2 4292564 DDR 512MB 3200 BLUE MUSH BLUE LINE PERF. SERIES 125.98
Seperate packs. Both from newegg.
edit: and for what its worth under CPUZ it lists these under manufacturer:
Slot#1 Enhanced memories
Slot#2 00000000000000
For whatever that means. Both are Blue line purchased at the exact same time from Newegg.
Wow nice catch on the part number. Missed that 2 for the 9. I did a search of part numbers. I looked at what's on the Mushkin website now and I looked at every part number of mushkin ram newegg has(5 pages) The number on outpost does not show up anywhere. If you google the part number...
OK THIS IS SMOKING HOT
This is mushkin blueline. I paid $93 a stick for this at newegg about 3 months ago. This stuff currently runs $88 a stick on the Mushkin website. Thank you for this great find, I had been holding out to upgrade my system to 2 gigs! woot
ok thanks
I did not even install coolbits and the speed tab was unlocked. (maybe I did and I am having a blonde moment) I could have sworn I went into the manual overclock block selected the 3d option(saw 300mhz) and then did the detect optimal setting option. I will double check when I get...
My xfx non extreme 6600GT is running at 300MHZ gpu and 1ghz memory speed at default. Its a clean install of drivers and everything.(was new rig) When I go and let it pick an optimal overclock is goes to 535mhz and 1.13GHZ on the memory. Anyone know why the default is so low? Kind of wierd it...
Heh I was waiting to RMA mine when I got the notification email. Luckily I got in yet again and the new one will be here early next week. The cpu temp probe on mine is busted but other then that I really love this board:) Newegg is doing a cross ship exchange on it for me:) ( BTW the first...
OK I received another email from Chaintech, this time with a new bios. ( for my temp issue) So I am going through trying to flash and I get this message "" The program file's part number does not match with your system!".
So I take a look at the file names. The batch file is named VNF3...
Yeah I think your right. Good thing I went with Newegg on this board. As long as it is within 30 days they will cross ship another motherboard. So as soon as I they get some im I will RMA it that way I dont have to be without for more than a few days.
Under CPUZ-> mainboard-> sensor it is FFFF.... Which is never good. Is this my cpu temp sensor by chance?
If I RMA this sucker I am SOL for what about 2 weeks? I think if I dont try to O/C am probably ok but either way I am running kind of blind.
OK I have my system up and running. I had zero problems so far. Here is what I have
AMD 64 3200
2x 512 Mushkin Blueline
XFX 6600 GT
WD 80GB SE hd
Lite on CDRW
Antec Sonata w/ 380 trupower
Thermaltake 20-24 pin power adaptor
thermaltake k8 silentboost HSF with AS ceramique
So it is...
I did also notice there is a 4 pin connector on the board but not even discussed in the user manual. I bought the thermaltake because wether it makes a difference or not I figured why skimp on a 5 dollar piece of gear when I spent so much on the system.
I recieved my board on Friday. It came with a user manual. I am building it Monday and will let you guys know how it goes. I am also going to use a thernaltake 20 to 24 pin adapter, so we shall see if it frys the board:)
